Hello, Taishiro fans! I've been lurking here forever, but for some reason I had never gotten around to actually posting anything, which is a shame considering this has always been one of my favorite Digimon pairings. OMG...Just, OMG! Your art is gorgeous and so adorable, dear!! I'm soooo happy you posted this! Tai in that paw-print coat that he wore in the Christmas episode, but in a much more appropriate romantic situation (This is the only place where I can say this and still keep all my limbs)... ^-^ And your manga page is SO nice. I REALLY want to see you complete that comic.

There was actually a discussion thread about that very topic (Digimon Adventure personalities vs. dub personalities) over on the forums at the Taishirou Resource Center. (I totally posted a rant on the topic late at night on my iPad awhile back and I have no idea now if any of it makes sense. XD)

Neither of them seem to be very adept at recognizing others people's feelings, giving them something in common and something they might need to work towards as a coupleI don't think I've really thought of it that way, but you're totally right. I can picture all kinds of awkward -- even tense -- situations arising from this, but of course they'd make up in the end ( ... )

asdkgfraghl thanks! I kind of love that coat (and really, all of the alternate outfits that we didn't get to see in the show very often). Much better for Taichi to be kissing Kou than that French harlot, IMO (disclaimer: I do not actually think Catherine is a harlot. But I will SAY IT ANYWAY) ^_^ The comic I see in my head is actually a lot more chibi-fied than anything I posted here because the subject matter is more silly than serious (and I'm ridiculously addicted to cute things), but doing a faux-manga page like this was certainly a good learning experience-- hopefully someday I will be able to maintain that style over multiple pages, because I ended up becoming rather fond of it ( ... )

Oh, I was actually thinking of the Christmas episode, and that scene before Matt's concert where...you know. So at first I read "French harlot" as "Sora" and had a double-take moment. Hahahaha. XD;

I want to see ANYTHING cute and chibi and Taishirou. So bring it on!

I was just watching Digimon (02) this morning, and I think it was the "Kyoto Dragon" episode. Among all of Azulongmon's idiotic dub adds was something like "Yes, Izzy's strength is his intelligence...Without it, he'd be, well, Tai." And I thought of this thread. XD I'm not sure that's an accurate statement, but in some ways, perhaps half true. Both of them are passionate about acting out what they believe is the right thing to do. And I want to say the difference is that Izzy is more measured and rational, but that doesn't even seem quite right either. He's intent upon what his logic dictates, but at the expense of considering feelings. Tai is the inverse. (Whereas Cody tries to take everything into account and ends up overloading his poor little self. Poor ( ... )

Oh yeah, the concert! Totally slipped my mind when I was typing that up; I guess that jacket shows up a lot in those last few episodes (I haven’t seen 02 in a while, and I'm rewatching Adventure very slowly because I’m trying to savor it).
