OMG...Just, OMG! Your art is gorgeous and so adorable, dear!! I'm soooo happy you posted this! Tai in that paw-print coat that he wore in the Christmas episode, but in a much more appropriate romantic situation (This is the only place where I can say this and still keep all my limbs)... ^-^ And your manga page is SO nice. I REALLY want to see you complete that comic.
There was actually a discussion thread about that very topic (Digimon Adventure personalities vs. dub personalities) over on the forums at the Taishirou Resource Center. (I totally posted a rant on the topic late at night on my iPad awhile back and I have no idea now if any of it makes sense. XD)
Neither of them seem to be very adept at recognizing others people's feelings, giving them something in common and something they might need to work towards as a coupleI don't think I've really thought of it that way, but you're totally right. I was just watching Digimon (02) this morning, and I think it was the "Kyoto Dragon" episode. Among all of Azulongmon's idiotic dub adds was something like "Yes, Izzy's strength is his intelligence...Without it, he'd be, well, Tai." And I thought of this thread. XD I'm not sure that's an accurate statement, but in some ways, perhaps half true. Both of them are passionate about acting out what they believe is the right thing to do. And I want to say the difference is that Izzy is more measured and rational, but that doesn't even seem quite right either. He's intent upon what his logic dictates, but at the expense of considering feelings. Tai is the inverse. (Whereas Cody tries to take everything into account and ends up overloading his poor little self. Poor ( ... )
