Introduction and art
Hello, Taishiro fans! I've been lurking here forever, but for some reason I had never gotten around to actually posting anything, which is a shame considering this has always been one of my favorite Digimon pairings. So, allow me to correct this rather obvious error in judgement by coming out of the woodwork and sharing a few Taishiro-related things I've done over the years.
First off, why I think Taishiro is the awesomesauce:
As it turns out, they're my two favorite characters in Adventure, so I suppose I naturally gravitated towards them being together! More importantly though, I do think their personalities compliment each others' quite well, both in the original and the English dub (and in a way, I suppose I might consider Tai x Izzy and Taichi x Koushiro to be separate-but-equal pairings, since there are character differences between two versions). I'd like to think that Taichi helps Koushiro open up emotionally and be more comfortable around people in general, while Koushiro helps Taichi reign in his more impulsive tendencies. I picture their relationship starting out as sort of an awkward and hesitant first-love sort of way because neither of them would really know what they were doing at first, but it would eventually become a very sweet, loving, and supportive partnership. I suppose Tai x Izzy would be much the same, but with a bit more equal footing and sarcasm (Izzy seems more than capable of holding his own against Tai verbally, even if Tai has the advantage physically) ^^; Ultimately though, I guess what draws me to this pairing is that they just seem really comfortable around each other from the start, even though they have such different personalities. Neither of them seem to be very adept at recognizing others people's feelings, giving them something in common and something they might need to work towards as a couple, which I like as a dynamic, and I can envision a lot of scenarios in which they could form a relationship, so in terms of things that I ship, they're pretty versitile.
Bottom line, they're adorable, and thinking about them gives me all sorts of warm fuzzies <3
But anyway, enough yakkin'. I come bearing ART!
First some unfinished stuff-- miscellaneous doodles and sketches from the past year or so. Some look a bit more risque than I had originally intended, but that's really down to the fact that I'm too lazy to add clothes half the time -_-
Wonky-looking practice draw from last year sometime. I really like making them all blushy, can you tell? ^^;
Oekaki from 2009, I think (man, that was a loooong time ago!). I don't know why Izzy went out into the snow without a coat, but I'm sure Tai will find ways to keep him warm :3
And finally, something I've been working on for the past month and f i n a l l y found time to finish (click to see bigger). I've been reading a fair bit of shoujo manga recently and wanted to make something with lots of screentone and sparkles, I guess!
Let's see, what else do I have involving this pairing? I wish I could write fanfic about them, but so much of what's out there already is so good that I don't know I have much to contribute on that front. However, I am currently planning a 6-page comic about them that will probably be 90% about science and 10% about love, so if I ever get around to making it, I'll try to post it here.
So anyway, hope you enjoy. Even if this comm has been quiet, it's not forgotten!
