Sunday Eyecon report - all Jared, all the time
Hi, Fandom! *waves*
Sunday report on Jared's panel, photo ops, the Evil!Sam vs Good!Sam campaign results and more, all under the cut.
So, a month or so ago, since it's an election year, and because I am a ginormous *coughDORKcough*, I posted to the eyecon com and asked if anyone would be interested in getting a "Vote for Evil!Sam" sticker. Some people were, so I made some, and then other people wanted Good!Sam as well, so I made those. Well, it kind of snowballed. Here is lotr_lemmy and I promoting our causes. I promote evil!Sam.
I was able to give stickers to everyone but Jim and Steve, and everyone picked Evil!Sam but Jason. When we got in to see Jared for our photo, I went first by myself, and he was excited about the whole thing and tackled me and said he votes for evil!Sam. I requested Powers!Sam for my photo, and .... guh. Just. Nggggh. *Braine all gonzo. Check back laterz*
Then lotr_lemmy and I got our photo together. I told Jared we were going to whisper to him and we wanted him to look conflicted. He said, "Ok! But I pick you, 'cos you're the devil." *lol, dies* Poor good!Sam got NO.LOVE. from Jared. None. After we took it, he said he was using his "Very best acting face." And look! You can see Sam's big ball of angst. *hugz*
At the start of panel, Jared was presented with a KICK-BUTT Supernatural themed chess set. Seriously. It was amazing. He looked like a little kid at Christmas. Right after that janglyjewels got to present the photo book and the check for the animal rescue site. (ps - I'll email you all my pics, there's lots more, I got him signing your book, too)
I can personally say I've never seen Jared speechless before. He groped around for words for a while before coming up with 'flabbergasted', lol. He was totally shocked and said he was in a whole room of people so much cooler than him. He teared up. It was the sweetest thing in con history. I think. In MY con history, anyway. I may or may not have teared up a little myself.
He said when he got on the plane, he just kept thinking how he was going on no sleep to get on a plane to get no sleep, to be here for about 20 hours, and then get back on a plane to get no sleep and go back to work, and he was so tired, he was wondering why he does things like this to himself, and then *insert Samlike MistySmile of Shyness* everyone goes and does something amazing like that and he remembers why, and he was just completely overwhelmed. *loves him and feeds him cookies*
After he got the book, he just kept flipping through it, and the handler person came to take it for him and he was all *cling* "Don't touch it!"
Lol, JARED. So sweet. Really. If you've never gotten to meet him, DO EET.
It actually took him quite a while to recover, but soon he was onto full-on squee about the new season. He loves where things seem to be headed, he talked about Evil!Sam pwning everything, he was evasive and shifty about if Sam was sleeping with Ruby or not, "Well, they were doing something ..." and he talked about my Evil!Sam sign, which was very Lolzy.
Yes, he lives with Jensen. Jensen lives downstairs and Jared lives upstairs. He's cool with it now, but by 2 years from now he may want to buy Jensen his own house just to get him out, lol. Their bodyguard Cliff does all the cooking and cleaning, and he may or may not have an apron. *giggles*
The lighting in the Eyecon room SUCKS. But I managed to get a few pics for y'all guys. He told some new prank stories, talked about Sam's wardrobe (and how everything he was wearing was Sam's) and talked a lot about cereal. *facepalm*
Then he signed autographs, during which he took his Evil!Sam sticker. *glees* I managed to get better ones then. Enjoy teh prettayz.
