BREAK WEEK! Seriously, it is stupid how little writing time I have while school is in session. I completely fail at fannishniss this year. Spoilers for like every show ever under the cut.
I've read the first four Game of Thrones books, I still need to get my paws on book five, but OMG! It just gets WORSE!!! For the Starks that is, everything is so dire and sad and meek and hopeless... I CAN'T GET ENOUGH!
Tyrion is made of awesome, I haven't disliked him at all in any of the books, he sadly didn't make an appearance in book 4, but I heard he's in book 5. Can't wait to see what happened to him after the cliffhanger in book 3!
Robb is great too... very very great and awesome and... let's just leave it at that okays? *tries not to look sad*
Tonks will play more of a role in season 2... but then she disappears... there are so many freaking characters in these books.
I think that's it... I NEED DANCE WITH DRAGONS! Also Dany and her dragons? She kicks so much freaking butt!! WOOOO!!!
ahhh anime!Dean was so annoying to me at first, his voice...basically the fact that it wasn't Jensen, and had I started watching anime before show, I would've been a Sam girl because dude, SAM IS SO AWESOME and I love how they're doing his powers. But when it came time for Jensen to be Dean again...I didn't like it. Because I'd gotten used to douchey-voiced Dean and Jensen was trying to emulate him instead of just BE himself as Dean and...it didn't work for me. Which made me sad. But SAM IS AWESOME!!! so it's all good, I guess. I hope they make season two.
I'm hoping season two of GoT is allllll about Tyrion because Clash of Kings pretty much is and they have to follow the books, right? :DD
Honestly, I kind of like anime!Dean. OBVIOUSLY not to the level that I love the real Dean, but watching it is totally making me all grinny and nostalgic for s1/s2, so it's all good. Sam is friggin amazing. I won't lie, the Sam/Jess episode made me tear up. I just finished watching the John and Lily ep.
YAY TYRION!
Ino. :( I'm on my way now to get Piper some more stuff for vomiting, poor kid. :(
I've been watching pieces parts of the anime. I tried the first couple of re-make eps, and they just didn't sit well with me. They highlighted how much better I like the live action series. So I've been skipping those and watching the anime originals, 'cause those are kinda like fanfic.
I'm not overly bothered by Dean's voice, because to me it sounds like Brock Kelly's voice, so it does sound to me like "a" Dean is doing the voice, just not "The" Dean. However, that could be part of the reason why I'm not overly keen on the series. I'd rather have Jensen doing Dean's voice. Also, when I got my S6 bluray discs. I tried to watch the first of Jensen's two eps, and the dialogue just made me cringe.
I did like the ep set in Las Vegas. Would actually kind of like to see that as an episode.
And of course the interviews with the boys are fun.
I love - LOVE - anime in general, so I settled right in to the clunky casework and cheesy dialogue, lol. To be honest I'm amazed at how much they've managed to keep it shooting straight, most anime would have had an insanely obnoxious secondary character one-off that yelled and screamed a lot and had hearts for eyes and took up an entire episode by now. O.o
( ... )
My hubby is more into anime than I am (though not necessarily INTO it), and some of his stuff that I've watched while multi-tasking is pretty good. In fact, one series, I was kind of like "And they haven't turned SPN into anime yet? It would be perfect for anime."
Geo also made the comment, as it was brought up in one of the boys' interviews, that usually, the conversion is the other way around--anime to live action movie. This going from live action TV to anime is a first, we think, so yay for our show! \o/
It is rather gratifying to know that the anime is bringing new viewers to the live action. So yay for that, too. \o/
Just tons of sympathy for the ick, will send well-getting thoughts your way.
I been here, lurking, various stuffs happening in the home, like getting two new windows put in over a period of days (not finished completely yet and this started last week) because that's how landlords + contractors + handyman guy do things. Is most disruptive while still being awesome, the old windows were rotted.
That's recent, before that, uhhh... I don't even know. Lots of good intentions, little follow through. :P

It's good to know that Tyrion hasn't, to your knowledge, done anything to potentially jeopardize my love for him. <3
