From reading the books, my understanding of the difference in berserkers of highborn and Kendar is how many it effects. Think about it, when a highborn has Berserker tendencies it can cause all those connected to have a chunk of time of insanity. This was shown when they described the White Hills after the Knorth Massacre. Ganth went berserker and insane and the whole of the people were affected. Then you would have the lesser lords where those connected to them would be affected such as how the Lords health can affect those sworn to them. The house lead would affect the whole House, while the lesser lords would only effect their own sworn people. Someone like Harn would only have thee effect on himself. In history there are always those that are born a berserker, so it might not have anything to do with highborn blood. It could simply be he was born that way ( ... )

Yes, it does. I particularly like your point about whom a berserker effects beyond himself. The Highlord would be especially dangerous to the entire Kencyrath while even minor lords could effect their whole house. I'll be looking into this more in the next book.

I agree with the previous comments that changing your writing style, composition, etc. just in the hope of attracting new readers is silly. Content changes do not replace proper presentation/advertising ( ... )

Hello, Please ask Ban to help with social media to promote your series. I believe your story of Jame is epic. My nieces and nephews are always looking for exciting and well written books to enjoy. I don't know if your series is on Audiobooks. If not, please get it there! I purchased Godstalk from Science Fiction Book Club in the 1970s. One of my best buys ever!

Glad you enjoy the books! As a matter of fact, Baen has recently hired a PR man to promote its authors. I just spent a week filling out his questionnaire. You can also find my audiobooks at Audible, which I believe is associated with Amazon.

this is a Baen editor - amazing. People have no difficulty reading your previous books to catch up. There are many authors who have readers picking up their books mid-way. Fortunately the reading public is intelligent and your books are worth reading!

He's also a Baen author, but then I don't read most Baen books myself. Military SF isn't my thing. Military fantasy? Sort of. Mostly, I do favor intelligent readers. Even so, it's a lot to ask that they drop into the series this close to the end.
