:D

I'm frankly a little amazed the known total for his kids is just three. (Although I suppose if you count probable kids out in the Trickwood that number increases. Just a little. >.>) Considering his tastes in partners, you'd think he'd have a few more rods for his back. XD

Well, he likes human girls, too--especially the ones who know what/who he is and still try to kick his ass. :D

(Always a possibility. Or deciding she wants a Sabaey kid and the father really doesn't need to know... But yeah, the usual retrieval routes really don't apply so much with Fintain's lovers. >.>)

His brothers say as long as there were, in fact, no Sabaey-tiger babies, they can probably cope. =P (Dragon-human is much more of an issue than werewolf-human, for fertility difficulties.)

*snickering* Not so much.

Which just leads to truly hilarious mental images of Hernén doing trade negotiations with some river pirate leader ambassador and having the nagging feeling that her adolescent son looks very familiar . . .

Tigers don't do the people thing. Like wolves, packs, you have cultural crossover points. With tigers, there'd be the massively territorial tiger-brain meeting the moderately territorial mage-brain. >.>

Also elements of 'tell me he didn't go there.' >.>

"Boxes" - Chevalier de Grammont, Grammont and Sinclair taennyn August 5 2010, 19:55:47 UTC
She blew surprised static when she finally got through the safeguards around the eyes in the storage room and got a look at where her human was.

"And somewhere in this mess," he replied, just as if she'd spoken in Russian, "are not only the parts we're looking for but very possibly witches' hearts and the Tsar's next birthday gift."

She spent a moment being grateful for his lack of names, then mentally shook herself and considered the room again. "What system are they using?"

"Serial numbers," he told her, tapping one of the boxes he'd just passed so she knew where to zoom in, "but someone's been very lax about keeping order."

"... See if anyone will pay us for putting it back in order," she commanded, and startled him into a laugh that turned to coughing as dust flew.

I love that he replied to her static.

Why was she grateful for his lack of names? *curious*

The first line that popped into my head was 'and very possibly Kaschei's egg', but that struck me as a Bad Plan to actually say out loud. Hence, she is rather happy he didn't say either Baba Yaga or Kaschei's names.

"What just broke?" - Deaths, Julian De'Ath taennyn August 5 2010, 21:06:27 UTC
She was fighting her way forward across the trestle bridge for the third time when there was a k-CHONK noise underneath her feet and she and her current opponent both froze as the bridge wobbled.

" . . . What just broke?" the man asked, half-under his breath, casting an eye towards the edge of the trestle, and she shrugged carefully.

The bridge creaked again, and started listing to upriver. "--something that shouldn't have," she told him, then started running, ducking under his scythe handle and making a break for his side of the bank.

She heard him shout behind her, along with more crumbling noises from the bridge, and ran faster.

They both made it, but barely, and they stood for a moment watching her line of retreat and escape shatter into the river, long posts and iron cross-beams alike screaming as they fell.

Then he grimly tightened his hands on his scythe and turned to face her again.

She smacked him hard in the center of the chest with the butt-end of her own scythe, knocking him towards the abrupt edge ( ... )

It makes perfect sense that it's not what they're concerned with at the moment, but I'm less curious about what broke than I am about why it broke. *peers*

but circumstances suggested and she was willing to go with it.
