"Mm-hmm." She swallowed. "Incredibly fresh, it actually tastes better this way. Cooked it loses the texture."

"Do I want to know how you discovered this?"

"You'd be amazed to discover what you're willing to eat when you're hungry and soaked so completely that fire's out of the question," she said mildly, then took another bite.
