Apparently this is what happens when you comment on a post in someone else's Journal, and they later delete the entry, or make it private (friends only), which seems more likely. So you keep getting notifications when ( Read more... )

I've never really got the purpose behind deleting entries in the first place. But I don't rage!post or drunk!post, which might be good reasons for that. Not that you'd be contributing to either of those. IDK. People are weird.

Good point, but sometimes I respond to posts I disagree with, and that could result in the blog owner making the post private.
Sometimes people over-share on LJ too, and getting ANY comment they weren't expecting, might prompt them to reconsider the privacy setting on their post.
Heck, about a year ago, I accused one group that was jumping all over another user, of "lynching" her. I got banned, cuz, ya know, White Folks isn't *allowed* to use that word. Can't think of having done that lately, though I have screened comments from people who were spamming my LJ. Maybe its related to that.

Either way, I wish LJ would simply not show me *anything* from those users.
