Pretty! I've been tied up with a normal two-column tie, which is very comfy but nowhere near as pretty as this.
I shall put this to use (or rather, tell my sweetie to use it on me).

Very cool. I learned the same technique for weaving with ribbons or rushes on a trip to Hawaii...they said it was an ancient, native way of braiding.

as i was trying to get out of bed this morning and knelt on my own hair and got stuck, it occurred to me that you should do a piece on "using your partner's own buttlength hair to do fun & interesting things."

There's a whole bunch of interesting hair-tie things that one can do, and I think they'd make an excellent topic for a tutorial. :)

He's already threatened ... er, suggested that he use my hair to tie me up :-)

He was particularly interested in weaving my hair together with my ex-metamour (of another partner) whose hair is just as long but blonde.

How long is the rope you used for that?

Very. I typically use a 40' length of rope for many of the things I do, because I like being able to do multiple ties with it. In this case, the rope still had about 25' left after doing the weave; a piece of rope about fifteen feet long would have been enough.
