You could be a politician, Musashi.

[Awww, I bet you tell that to all the tanks onboard. Musashi adopts a facetious attitude for its reply.]

Thank you, I owe everything to my commanding officers. I would also like to thank the committee for their hard work.

Everyone worked very hard and I feel the results exceeded expectations.

And under budget! This is convenient since as it turns out, we weren't actually being paid.

I hope it's alright, but we may need to bring in a consult on the pharmaceutical alternatives, Mister Batou.

She hasn't gotten herself off the ship in ... over one year yet.

[This just pissed her off. Absolutely pissed her off. The arrogance, the elitism. The powerful were supposed to protect the weak. She had to go break something.]

Yep! I guess we're just lucky like that.

[your rage cannot touch the near-total cheer of a favored Tachikoma]

What I mean is that her help is not required. Apparently.

[Stomping, storming, Samus made her way to the gym.]

Actually, as an assistant during the hacking attempts, I can speak with authority on the matter of the Major's contribution!

Everyone belowdecks would have been killed within the first twenty minutes without her expert skills is rerouting and shutting down the automatic defenses. It's not your fault, I'm sure you're just poorly trained.

So does your major make it a habit to insult people?

Only when you deserve it.

Uh huh. I don't think I've ever met your major. So I'm pretty sure I don't deserve it.

I'm sorry, but personal acquaintance or the lack thereof doesn't necessarily preclude deserving access to key data on your own level of stupidity.

...I thought it would be kind to allow them a chance to atone for their mistakes.

Your interpretation is going to draw fire. People don't like being outright told they're idiots.

[She doesn't sound upset about it.]

I don't mind, this shell is impervious to a wide variety of heavy munitions.

[gasp!] Do you think they'd try and fight me hand-to-hand?!

ohmygosh

[It just wants to practice kicking people some more]

... Pity. And here I was, planning on running to the human like a scared little protoform for her war counsel.

I'm afraid you will have to rethink your hacking needs in the future for a less effective execution than otherwise might have been offered.

The Major's advice is always good.

Oh. Well, in that case, you have a very poor sense of humor, and your comedic timing leaves a lot to be desired. In addition, you should take your subject matter from situations that leave no doubt as to their humorous content.

It's not as if people don't normally rely on Major Kusanagi's tactical orders, you know.
