A sort of discovery -- Boyshorts from sleeve scraps!

I don't recall a tutorial for boyshort type undies like the pair I've just made, so I'll share!
I took the sleeves from an XL super soft tee (from a previous reconstruction) and looked at the shape of them. Here's a breakdown in steps:

I have fallen in love with these. Now I just have to find a bunch of colorful xl tshirts to steal the sleeves from!
I think these would also be really cute with some embellishment, maybe a couple of bows or buttons or ruffles or something. or using a sleeve with a design already on it:-)
I'm also trying to figure out if there would be a way to put in some kind of lining in the crotch area the way store-bought undies have...

i think that if you just cut a swatch of fabric to the same size as the groin seam/swatch,then hemmed it and sewed it in it would work.
id experiment and get back to you,but my sewing machines are in canada =(
just look at some of your current panties and figure it out

My initial thought with these was to find a set of sleeves with something printed on them. But the purple fabric I used was just too soft to pass up. Who knows, maybe I'll stencil something suiting for 'em :)
