Oho, I think I finally got replies working... :x
VERY LONG COMMENT REPLY IS VERY LONG!
You are warned!

I LOVE THE IMAGE! It breaks my heart. I'm still walking around all... numb and unfeeling since I finished the book. Bleh. *sadface*

And now...
On the first comment: Personally, I think Karen Traviss nailed Order 66. I laughed, I balked, it was a roller coaster of emotion for me (to sound completely cliche). I would've cried, if I was that kind of person, but I'm not. Lulz.

On the second note: It's to be expected that we "hate" the Jedi, because of the point of view of the characters in Order 66. Jedi genocide and everything is terrible, yes, but again you have to remember that all the characters from this side of the spectrum don't like Jedi. In fact, I think Traviss' books probably nailed these opinions for most beings in the galaxyPoint of view is as important in storytelling as anything else. If there was shock and horror and "OH GREAT MANDA!" reactions regarding Jedi genocide, well... All of the characters would be vastly ( ... )

Actually, sorry to double up on the replies, but I do have an opinion on Jusik.

This might seem harsh, but that's how some people are. Family is vastly more important that friends. Very few friends cross the threshold into the family category. I imagine that since Jusik "went native" family became everything. Any friends he had back at the temple were either considered strangers because of their hypocrisy or because he simply wasn't as close to them as he could be.

Yeah, Jedi died. He probably knew some. Bottom Line: They don't matter, so it isn't worth the energy to analyze his "feelings". He has more important things on his plate, like Etain's death and Kad's upbringing and lost Omega sons to bring home.

Hahaha. Yes. After a fashion, I realize that Jusik would've been more worried for his family than reacting like, "homg Palps was a Sith??"

Gosh dang. Maybe I'm just wanting more angst, hahah.

I realize some people don't think that way, it is extreme. But I think it works for Jusik. (Apparently he even flips out on a Jedi in Mando territory in LOTF. He's all, JEDI SCUM blah blah. It almost makes me want to get through the first book faster. >_>)
