For hermits, we have a social life these days, a busy one even. What a weekend....lovely and tiring. Pica came to visit so we could go to the Fiber Fest on Salt Spring. Little of note, not much exciting has been going on. It's been business as usual with the benefit of better weather for the increase in weeding to be done on the home island. Zeke broke his toe.

I saw the first hummingbird of the season today.

Have added copious rotted goat excrement, peas and spinach seeds to my tiny vegetable garden. Only the parsley managed to overwinter with the snow this year. The vegetable garden is now fully planted--until we eat the spinach at which point summery things will go in. I am craving a more amenable vegetable garden. I just don't think it's ( Read more... )
