So I haven't actually seen the episode yet, but I'm a spoiler whore, so there you go.

Can a show really kill off three of the five people in the main cast in less than one season and then just go on? I usually hate the deus ex machina intervention and resets, but I'll gladly make an exception for this one.

Part of me thinks that he can't really be dead, if only because of the way we were bashed over the head with foreshadowing.

And if he is 'dead' dead, I will be seriously disgruntled, to the point where I probably wouldn't watch another series. I've given up better shows than this before.

I don't care if it's a weak reset. I'll settle for magic rift pixies bring Ianto back because they owe Jack a favour.

I really do think we have a chance that it's all some kind of big fake out. I hope thats not just my wishful thinking talking

Magic rift pixies! I think that now I'll be disappointed if it is anything less.

I don't know if it is just wishful thinking or not. I just cannot believe that they would kill off another cast member just for the hell of it, especially one as popular as Ianto.

he's not pregnant magic lady Gwen though. And that's the kicker, isn't it? RTD has always loved Gwen. We're forced to watch her POV throughout series 1, 2 and now 3. If Gwen dies, then they actually have to deal with how Jack feels for her. But if Ianto dies... it's tragic, because his relationship with Jack isn't all grey like it is with Gwen. He's not married to someone else or pregnant. He's just Ianto, who was trying to figure out what he had with Jack when all this started and now, it's too late.

Besides, how better to get viewers to tune in or watch your show? If characters are going to die left and right, it's supposedly good drama.

And yes, I'm slightly bitter.
