Oh yes, she can't be a Mary Sue because she's endearingly clumsy. The Stephenie Meyer defence. Of course, this just raises further questions as to how the hell exactly she qualified as an Auror.
Well, Tonks managed it, apparently. Although I suppose one could ask the same question about her, but at least there's a canon example.

Jaiden, meanwhile, has none of that going for her. We can infer that she's supposed to be at or near the top of her class by how she became Head Girl, but we don't see any real evidence of it.
