That's why, when you Google "Edward Cullen Gary Stu" without the quotes, you get 35,200 hits the first of which is an article describing how exactly Edward Cullen is a Gary Stu. There's nothing like a well-researched argument, and that is nothing like a well-researched argument.

Some white-knighting idiot on the Escapist off-topic forum. Yes, my fault for going there and yes, finding white knights there is kind of like finding hydrogen on Jupiter, but whatever. Seemed a little too fond of the article zelda_queen tore to shreds here, among other recycled arguments for why we shouldn't call out Sues when we see them. This culminating in the statement that nobody has ever been called a Gary Stu, using Edward Cullen as the example. That line of argument amused me so much that I couldn't not post about it here.

Oh, and seemed to think I was completely new to the world of fanfic criticism. XD
