You're probably here because you enjoy reading snarky reviews of absolute crap. As such, I highly recommend Wil Hutton and Darren MacLennan's review of Vampire: The Masquerade mockbuster Vampire: Undeath posted to RPGnet today. Even if tabletop RPGs aren't your thing. It's worth it.

What do you do when you're at a bus stop in the middle of nowhere for two hours in the rain? In my case, you get out a notebook and jot down some scripts for rage comics based on Hogwarts Exposed. Like so:

Because it's a while since I've done this. I honestly don't think the recursive translations look any less like convincing dialogue than the originals, all of which are actual lines of dialogue from the first eight chapters of Hogwarts Too Exposed.

No, I've not had any fans of the fic taking issue with my criticisms. I did, however, get some naturist spam on the journal today. I didn't even know that was a thing.

That's why, when you Google "Edward Cullen Gary Stu" without the quotes, you get 35,200 hits the first of which is an article describing how exactly Edward Cullen is a Gary Stu. There's nothing like a well-researched argument, and that is nothing like a well-researched argument.

From re-reading my sporking. Our first introduction to Jamie in Chapter 1 has Hermione talking about how she's top of every class. Then when she takes her exams she fails Divination and Astronomy without any kind of extenuating circumstances. Can we conclude from this that Divination and Astronomy had 0% pass rates, and if so how exactly did this ( ( Read more... )
