Yet another Hogwarts Exposed plot hole!

From re-reading my sporking. Our first introduction to Jamie in Chapter 1 has Hermione talking about how she's top of every class. Then when she takes her exams she fails Divination and Astronomy without any kind of extenuating circumstances. Can we conclude from this that Divination and Astronomy had 0% pass rates, and if so how exactly did this ( ( Read more... )

Especially with the exams being buried within the extravaganza of fail that is Chapter 24. I still can't believe that sporking ran to eleven parts.

Well, just remember that Caitlin's age becomes wildly inconsistent, teachers never actually prepare lesson plans, Ginny has a relationship with an invisible man, the mirror is a perv, and the movement this fic pushes is worse than radical internet naturalists. Neil just loves his plot holes, and I doubt he cared about continuity by then.

Which is another thing that sticks out like a sore thumb to anyone involved in the education system. There's a silver lining to all the "schools do not work that way" moments, and that's that he's clearly not set foot in a school since (presumably) attending one. This can only be a good thing.
