Wonderful interlude! I'm glad Bones is getting some help with his Dael issues. I like Jim's section too, and the brief glimpse of Spock and Uhura's relationship.

I've been reading the whole Draw series these last days (weeks?) and I'm in love :)

Your characters and relationships feel so real, with weaknesses and strengths. Dael is a wonderful character and I like how you introduced her and let the love grow very gradually.
