Oh damn you. I somehow missed the glaring Kirk/SpockPrime info (duh), which would have prevented me from reading, but now that I have read it and liked it rather a lot, I cannot un-like it, now can I.

Damn you woman for perverting me ;D

Woah. This was amazing. *flails*

More coherent comment later when I've gathered my wits again (and am not on the way to bed) but for now, woah, and thank you for sharing. :D

Have achieved a little more coherency on re-read. Love all the relationships within: Pike/Kirk confined by circumstances to mostly the time when Spock Prime's pon farr calls, the hint of (Kirk/)McCoy (in the communications they exchange) and most of all, the nature of the relationship with Spock Prime. It makes me shiver a little but I guess, in the end it is consensual and beneficial to all parties. Does really remind me of Spock Prime's desperate need+loneliness in the film, though. Very fascinating! :D

SpockPrime eats my brain a little *grrrr* so I guess it was only natural that this fic came out.

I didn't actually want to say that Pike-Kirk ONLY meet when it's Pon farr time, but it's definitely the most challenging time.

Glad you liked the story, I thought of you when writing it :)

at first I was all like omgwtf Kirk? what a choice death of someone who saved you and therefore earth who still has information about things that could save people or less than a week every five years

(mm in my head fanon I've always assume that as a vulcan gets older the cycle becomes longer and less depedable, I'll just assume Prime!spock is stilling rocking it :D)

At first I was all like poor Kirk, what a guilt trip of a choice between the death of someone who saved you and therefore earth and who still has information about things that could save people or less than a week every five years,
(mmm in my head fanon I've always assume that as a vulcan gets older the cycle becomes longer and less dependable, I'll just assume Prime!spock is stilling rocking it :D)
but the more more I think about it the more I want to know P!Spock's head space. What must it be like to have your someone with your past love's face come to you only of feelings of obligation and dislike of doing it to boot. Does he take because he is so needy and desperate for Kirk that even this relieves some of it or is he just taking because he wants?
An interesting scenario done wonderfully.

SpockPrime is rocking ;) and he's not that old by Vulcan standards.

I haven't actually thought a lot about Spock's POV here *admits* because Pike inhabits my brain, but yes, it would be interesting to see his motivations :)

Thanks for the feedback, glad you liked the story!
