I have to admit that this is the sort of scenario I never could have imagined, but I'm so bloody glad you went there. *g*

The gradual reveal of just what kind of arrangement Kirk and Spock Prime have here is very well played without hashing out the details we and Pike would really rather not know. And I love Pike in this, how jealous and angry he is while still being helplessly resigned to the situation. They make great lovers here but how horrible that they now only see each other whenever Kirk is summoned at Spock's pleasure.

I think the truly scary thing is that not only can I believe Pike's angry resignation to the idea, I can especially see Kirk going along with it too, especially if he's gaining information that will save lives. Oh, Jim... *shakes head*

This is an amazing story, and such an unexpected treat, thanks!

As mentioned above, I didn't actually want to say that Pike-Kirk ONLY meet when it's Pon farr time, but it's definitely the most challenging time. Kirk has several reasons to go along with it, though it's mostly ego-related and less about saving others (he wants to KNOW about his other life).

Thanks for the feedback, glad it worked for you!

The house they enter at last is small, neat and life-saving cool, and feels like home to Jim. A rarely visited home, but it's got Chris inside and that's enough for him.

Aww, love this line.

And this is amazing in that it makes you uneasy, but you can understand exactly why everyone is doing what they're doing and how it's not okay but it is okay. If that makes any kind of sense.

I understand you, and I wanted to go for that feeling of not!okay/still!okay so I'm glad it worked. I think it ties in with the "real life and real relationships are messy" theme that runs through all of Draws too :)

Thanks for the feedback, glad you liked it!

I read this yesterday, mulled on it overnight and I'm still not feeling competent to make a sensible comment. The dynamics of this are screwy, but somehow make absolute sense. So I guess you've made a good job of messing with my brain!

You deserve a reward - maybe a night with the Star Fleet officer of your choice?

*giggles* Thank you! I think I just take Pike, Kirk AND McCoy. So I alternate between watching and having fun *G*

How did you pack that much fabulously hot and sexy tangledness into such a short tale?!

LOL thank you very much for staggering in :)))) I appreciate it a lot.

I love Nimoy!Spock (he was my firstest crush ever) but I think SpockPrime has big damn issues and it's interesting to play with them *eg*

Thanks for the great feedback, and high five back to you and your wonderful writing! :)) *beams*
