That's a double hit: worse versions, by far, of both applications. I hate what MS did to Office 2007's UI: they radically redesigned it to be both (a) utterly different logic from that learned by their long-term users and (b) inflexible, especially compared to 2003, which had the most customizable interface in the history of the suite. Sure, there are paid add-ons that allow Office 2007 users to have an Office 2003 interface, but those should not have been necessary.
