pennsic - not over yet?

It's been a quiet day. People are packing out. But it rained much of the afternoon, which means some people ended up packing wet tents. They'll have to dry them out at home (and pack them again). The weather should be sunny and hot tomorrow. Our personal excitement is that the van is doing the Security/Passlock thing again, and we can't start it. ( Read more... )

Sorry about your car troubles. I read your earlier/later post that you didn't get back until Wed/Thurs. That sucks.

BTW, I really like reading your write ups. They capture a good view of pennsic.

If it weren't for costing so much to not actually fix it, a few extra days at Cooper's Lake wouldn't have been so bad. It was nice to see the campground when it wasn't swarming with people, and we could just wander around.

I'm glad people like my write-ups, although I have to keep reminding people who haven't been to Pennsic that this is just a small slice of what goes on there.

Ugh to the car problems. How do you pack up a shower?

The shower is a rectangular structure of PVC pipe to hold a shower head, water valves, and sheeting, with pallets for a raised floor. This year there was floorless tent structure added over it, with a bench inside. That all gets disconnected, disassembled, and packed up. (Keep in mind there's a water heater somewhere, too. Caer Edgemere (our camp) provides that. Symbiosis.)
