Thank you for not writing "hone in" in place of "home in." One of my pet peeves -- my boss's boss says "hone in" all the time, and to me it sounds like that emergency alert klaxon.

If I ever do write something that sets off the klaxon, please let me know. It would probably be something I'd never heard correctly (or never heard said correctly), and hadn't thought through. My boss's boss used to say "for all intensive purposes", and I've got an ex-boss who pronounces "ask" like "axe". "Due to" is rife in our office email, and lots of "utilize" when "use" would suffice. (I'm of the opinion that "utilize" should mean "make utile", make useful/usable; to modify or re-purpose the thing, not to use it.)

And then there's always "I could care less."
