I'm looking for cracks in the pavement....

This week is going to be a workout week. I cannot believe that I was ten pounds lighter at this time last year. All that stress-induced eating has resulted in icky results. Heh. I'm going to try and work on some more transcription tonight. (I charted out the chords and stuff to ROck you Like a Hurricane but haven't begun to start on the solos.)

I did a neat, final piano part for The Final Countdown, so I'll upload that music and put together Rock Lobster. I THINK I have worked out a tolerable arrangement, but it's really tricky.

Holy cow. Those 6/4 measures in "Rock You Like a Hurricane" were throwing me off when I was doing the cursory breakdown. I see cello solos all over that song--I sort of see the song with the piano playing rhythm geetar parts (and the riff) throughout the song.

I also tried to break down the entire "Rock Lobster" (as opposed to just the first three minutes) during lunch. Talk about asymmetrical madness! That is going to be a fun song!

For "The Reflex", were you thinking about taking on the (awesome and funky) bass parts, or the main melody? I am flexible with that one--I can do the melody or the synthy counterpoint.

Yay for the Goth Cello project! :)
