I feel like showing off my new glasses. They are very rectangular compared to my old glasses. I actually like both of my glasses. I'm so glad that I'm way past the "picked-by-parental-units" era of birth control glasses (i.e. them glasses that are so ugly that there's no way that anyone wearing them would get any ( Read more... )

I actually had a 20% discount (based on my medical insurance) for my glasses--normally, with the frames and the lenses, my new glasses would be about $400, but with the discount, I paid $320 for them.

Wow....I really miss having insurance that includes vision. hehe. :) I think the last time I got an eye exam (at Sears in the Clackamas mall) it cost me around $90.00 and then maybe another $50.00 getting my contacts online....they said then that my glasses didn't really need to be replaced, since I seldom wear them, but I'm sure it's been long enough now that I may just have to replace them. Since I've always had vision insurance in the past, I have no clue how much glasses should cost!
