After 3 lectures in biochemistry, I have fallen asleep, followed along avidly, and been bored nearly to sleep in that order. I've realized my deal with chemistries is that imagining bonds and structures and blahdy blah blah bores me to tears whereas the one lecture that actually covered more of chemistry in actual use kept me awake.
