So SP and I flew today from Toronto to Calgary by way of Saskatoon. It was an uneventful and generally pleasant journey -- there were, for example, no departure delays due to people throwing up on the previous flight or unscheduled two-hour detours to somewhere else because of dense fog at the intended destination -- and we arrived in Calgary ( Read more... )

1. Sending my seven-year-old next door to the Hasty Market to buy a carton of eggs (she volunteered, by the way);

2. making pancakes and blueberry sauce, eating them, and making DH and SP clean up the kitchen;

This morning's temperature: 102°F. No swimming class tonight (wailing). No school tomorrow, either. And, I suspect, no playdate [ick, I hate that word] on Sunday (but I haven't told her that yet. We'll see how it goes).

Sore throat? Check.
Muscle aches? Check.
