So SP and I flew today from Toronto to Calgary by way of Saskatoon. It was an uneventful and generally pleasant journey -- there were, for example, no departure delays due to people throwing up on the previous flight or unscheduled two-hour detours to somewhere else because of dense fog at the intended destination -- and we arrived in Calgary perfectly cheerful considering the unmentionable hour at which we had got out of bed.
Alas, however, although SP and I and her booster seat (and by the way, next time you are traveling with your kid's carseat or booster, be sure to do a dead-chocolate-chip-cookie check before consigning it to the checked baggage, because EEEEWWW) had all arrived safely, our suitcase? Had not. Nobody knows where it is.
Air Canada's lost-luggage lady was cheerfully optimistic that it would end up on the next flight in from Saskatoon and be delivered to my parents' house tonight or tomorrow. But we went and bought new underwear and socks this afternoon just in case. Because my mom couldn't resist retelling the story of how their luggages followed them from cape town to Singapore to Seoul to Vancouver just fine, but were lost by Air Canada between Vancouver and Calgary and didn't turn up for a month :P
