Well...there goes the Labor Day weekend BBQ! Looks like we're getting our very own tropical storm this weekend.

Hooray. It's just what I always wanted! Thank you, Mother Nature for the enormous middle finger. (Note my sarcasm.) :P ( Read more... )

I was sure you would get hit by that one. My Uncle is over in Texas by Marshall and they are begging for rain. Are you as dry in your area? See isn't this fun I have time to play online now. Lol. You need a Kindle so you can download your porn and use it when the power is off.

Stay safe.
Hope your holiday turns out better.

Oh, we're definitely dry; the grass is almost dead here and all the trees look droopy. We're expecting 20+ inches of rain tomorrow alone. With as fast and furious as it's going to be there just won't be enough time for all that rain to seep into the water tables here.

Dad was actually talking about leaving the tailgate of the truck open so we don't end up with an swimming pool in it. There was also mention of squirting dishsoap all over it, too so it'll get a proper washing. LOL!

See isn't this fun I have time to play online now.

I hear that. One of the few pluses. :P

I hope your newly modeled home holds up well and you don't lose power.

The worst of the storm's past and everything held up just fine...except the backyard. It's rained nearly continuously for the past 39 hours so what is normally grass is now a swamp!

We're safe, but we're not dry; 39 hours of nearly continuous rain and counting! The backyard looks like a swamp and the dogs are peeing on the porch rather than the grass because, at this point, they sink in to the ground when they step off onto the grass-made-swamp. LOL!
