This just gets better with each chapter. Thank you for re-posting so those of us who didn't get to read it can. I have to say this points out many of the things that bothered me about Mel and Lynz from the show. I could not see how they would last as a couple. The constant verbal abuse Mel heaped on Brian was just so over the top. In real life a child would be so destroyed by hearing that day in and out. You know that as much as Mel said she loved Gus she would always resent him because of Brian. Lynsey's passive aggressive behavior is just nuts as a child how do you cope with that? Also you know Gus was going to be a smart child and also I suspect very sensitive because I think Brian was also like that as a child. Weird I know to think of these characters as real. Lyn

As my beta, shadownyc pointed out, a lot of fan fiction within the fandom is simply us exorcising our demons. The ending of QAF was so open ended, and, in some respects so ridiculously over the top that it wasn't believable.
Healing was about me doing just that -- pointing out Cowlip's faulty logic and some of the big, honking elephants in the room that were never addressed like what a colossally stupid idea it was to just up and move to Canada (especially with no job, with a newborn, and with a relationship that was still rocky), the fact that the Mommies saw Brian as nothing more than a checkbook but allowed Michael to be seen and interact with his child as a third parent, and how Melanie's enmity with Brian will color her opinion of Gus.
Of course, I could go on and on, but I'll climb down off my soapbox and let the story speak for itself.
Thank you for taking the time to feedback. It's always appreciated! And be sure to check back next week for three new chapters!
This is so beautifully done. You should be very proud of how this is. I know that it took you a long time to write it, but I can assure you, that I think it is worth it!!
I think that the file after it is over is a brillant idea!! *so excited*
I could read this over and over. Each chapter builds such a clear picture of what's transpired.
One of the things I love about your style is the wonderful voices you have for the characters. I truly can envision and hear all that's happening, as painful as it sometimes gets.
I'm so pleased to see that you'll be posting weekly! :D

I knew before I read the first word that this was going to be one of "those" types of series...the type that gets under your skin and digs into your conscience in away that you could read it a hundred times and still go back and get another kernel of knowledge
