I would just like to say that this part makes me laugh much:

DO WE EAT IT?
IS IT FOR US?
ARE YOU RETURNING FOR YOUR CUPCAKE?

That right there is why I had to post it.

Where did it come from?
Who leaves a cupcake laying around?

usually someone who is planning on returning for their cupcake. And someone that is confident that no one else will eat it.

Or someone who is stupid.

One of the three.

At any rate - If I were a person who left a cupcake... be it for one of those three options... I think that I wouldve made an annoucement, no?

"Hello peoples. This is my cupcake. I am A) giving you this cupcake B) on a diet, would you like this cupcake C) totally coming back to retrieve this cupcake touch it and die."

I wish it was your cupcake so I could ask you why you left your cupcake by my desk.

If it was my cupcake and I did leave it by your desk, I would have also left a note.

"Dear Syd,

Since I have chosen Lent, the time of sacrifice, to do a sort of spring purification of my body and give up all desserty things, please have this cupcake in my honor. And in Jeebus' name.

Less than three,
Flann"

And I wouldve seen the note and been all "aww, it was Flann's cupcake, and i will eat it." And then the mystery? SOLVED.

I had Magnolia Bakery cupcakes on two seperate occasions this past weekend. On friday a guy brought a box of them in for the group he was meeting, but noone wanted one after breakfast, so he gave the box to me to do with as I pleased. After checking a random cupcake to make sure it wasn't poisoned, I spread them around.

Then I went to the bakery itself on Sunday. Vanilla on vanilla power!

Is Magnolia the famous bakery my sister always tells me about?

It could be. Bleeker and 11th. Tasty ass cupcakes. There are other places too, everyone has their favorite.
