The warning notations have ceased for the time being.  Other than wapping my post-petting-Ollie-scented hands, Ashe has stopped hissing.  Ollie's solitary baritone growl was a one time deal.  However, there is now the pacing around spying on each other, the long stares, the hiding in safe places out of the way, the unending sniffing of the intruder ( Read more... )

With the big kitty currently upstairs, the little kitty has sniffed around the office and is now taking a guard position to keep watch for invading furballs.

Well, the hissing finally started, although Oliver is confused as all heck about it. The little kitty took her hiding spot on the side of my desk, and after she got comfortable, Oliver came down to say high. This hissing then starts sounding, and he jumps over to the other side of the room and looks out where she had been lurking previously. ...and just now figured out where she is upon a return investigation and repeat of the hissing... She's a pissy little bitch.

At least they are both lying down in the same room, although the staring match continues with some 12 feet of distance across my feet.
