You just conveniently "lose" your old phone and then a new one appears nearby. Or just go to an unoccupied apartment. There's usually a spare one there...

Um... my world was going through a war with aliens. We developed a system which was a powered armor, with high offensive capacity, and the ability to slow down time. An upgrade to the system gave a weapon which is basically a concentrated nuclear blast. I was killed by said weapon because it was the only to defeat the last of my kind... despite the fact I wasn't on side of the aliens.
