I was just thinking about the history of Bioware romances. They hot dudes are really piling up, no?
Anomen, Carth, Atton, That guy in Jade Empire whose name I can never remeber, Kaidan, and of course Alistair.

atton all the way, but as someone pointed out, he is an obsidian boyfriend :) then id have to say kaidan. i mean no disrespect to team carth, but i was quite happy that raphael sbarge`s voice got a character upgrade, lol. alistair is probably going to overtake kaidan.

if bao-dur or sagacious zu were ever romance options, and if they made mical physically hotter (i am so shallow lol, the guy is a soldier and consular and i cant look past his awful hair) then this list would need to be revised.

Oh, I wanted to romance the elf bard too, instead of Anomen. The romance bit wasn't actually bad, it was how he stayed all whiny and pompmous in combat interactions afterwards! And the bard called me 'his little raven'.

I did like Carth but I never got as into him as most people seem to have, and Sky I liked, but he never really sent me flying. Same with Valen I think. Atton I did like a lot, I was disappointed that there wasn't more there. Haven't played Mass Effect yet so I can't say there. But Alistair, yeah he is easily my #1, and I really didn't see it coming. *sigh*

Alistair totally tops my list, with Kaiden Alenko as a sort-of close second. I don't know what it was about him, I just found him to be very realistic. Once I got past the Carth voice, anyways. I actually even liked him better than Liara after a while. Though, I must say, the man was totally useless in a fight. Zevran's a definite third, even though I haven't romanced him yet.

I must admit to being one of those girls who hates and despises everything about Carth. He was such a whiny drama queen.

Also, Anomen was a jerk, and I never recruited him. BGII had some great female romance options (<3 Viconia!) but the guy...ugh. I had heard that they intended Haer'Dalis and Valygar (meh) to be romanceable as well, but ran out of time. Ah well. Minsc was my one true BGII love, anyways. =P

Atton was in KOTOR 2 which was done by Obsidian. Sorry, also an Obsidian fangirl.

I wrote an essay about this in my journal. Alistair is my fav because he's not whiney. But I'm an unabashed Garrus fangirl. In fact, my husband threatened to tell Garrus about Alistair. Ha!

Well sadly Garrus isn't an actual romance option. But I do recommend Mass Effect if you like Dragon Age. The game play is a little different, and it's set in space, but you still get a compelling story with lots of dialog!
