Wow. It's not the pace that ASHWM was, but when you update, you update. It was long, tense, thrilling, scary and sad, in mostly that order. Poor Skyfire - I really feel for him. Yes, he's being creepy, and yes it would still be creepy even if it was Starscream and not Skywarp, but you can see where it's all coming from. He's so anxious to protect Starscream, and misses and loves him so much, it's just so sad. But you are doing a marvelous job of writing him like he's just got a bolt or two loose, which makes perfect sense when you look at everything he's gone through recently, and that makes me nervous for what's going to happen when Skyfire catches a clue. Like, say, the next time the Autobots engage the Decepticons and Starscream's right there on the front lines. "Huh? But I left you- then who's... oh, slag ( ... )

Oh god man, nothing, nothing I write will ever come to me as easy as ASHWM. I'll give that to the journal format making my life easier. I am happy to know the wait on this one was worth your while though.

Skyfire's predicament is very sad, and what's wrong with him will come out next chapter. I think he could still do with some strong telling off though, at the least, he knows this is wrong.

But yeah, if we're feeling sorry for the antagonist, Skywarp desearves so much more of that. And don't be too hard on him, he's trying his best you know. Dumb moves, but what else could he really do? With the wall, that was really his only option. You can't just power up propulsion that strong and suddenly stop, right? And while attack was dumb, it was attack and flee. He couldn't hide, and its very fight or flight. He really should have made the Starscream connection though. Really really. Even Coneheads would get that one.

And no, he's never going to want Skyfire to touch him.

that makes me nervous for what's going to happen when Skyfire ( ... )

Sweet Primus on a stick, woman, this is... incredible. Whatever it is that goes on in your mind, I think I want some if this is the result. Skywarp's terror is just palpable through the whole thing and I don't know, even knowing that there's no way it would possibly turn out okay for him if he actually did manage to escape, because he's just too damaged to survive on his own at this point, I wanted him to get out and the fact that he knew he had limited time before Skyfire got back made his struggle that much more delicious. And I know that peacewish said about how Skywarp is really acting a bit stupidly, but you really can't blame him, because who would want to be stuck in a cave where some creeper is going to periodically turn up and grope you and force feed you and etc.?
And Skyfire. Oh, Skyfire, you are so, so creepy. His reasoning is sound, in a twisted kind of way, but trying to keep someone safe is not an excuse to take away all of their freedom. That's just not how you go about it. (Of course, being trapped in ice but still ( ... )

Stuff like this is always wonderful to hear, it means I've doing a good job at making you empathize and feel. I always worry I've gone overboard or not gone far enough, so people like you help.

Most of what Skywarp did, besides attacking Skyfire, is stuff I would probably do in the same situation, so I can't fault him much either. He's all about now now now.

Skyfire is doing most of this quietly, and efficiently. His reason is... mostly sound, its just gotten muddled with some other things. Ratchet would never have given him the device for what he's using it for, or let it leave the med bay at all. Its just seldom used.

The other Cons think Skywarp has been captured or at least MIA, and they know at last siting he was damaged. Never fear, there's only three chapters and an epilogue, so resolution will come.

See? And that makes me glad that I decided to leave a long and indepth-ish review. Because making someone else feel good makes me happy. (Making an actual effort when giving reviews is one of my New Year's resolutions. I just started a bit early for you. xD)

Honestly, I have no idea what I would do in that situation. But Sjywarp's reactions, even f they aren't logical and well thought through on his part... they're realistic. I can see someone, yeah, trying to escape and then attacking out of desperation when their captor comes back a tiny bit too early.

I'm going to hold onto that promise of resolution with everything I have. I love Skywarp and I really, really want this to turn out okay for him.

I'm judging you allll over the place. Judging you so hard, so hard. (Kidding, of course).

Cuddly issues. That's one way of putting it. I think Starscream would react in about the same matter Skywarp is, disgust wise, but he'd be much more intelligent and frankly experienced in how to escape. Though how much good that would do him, who knows, considering how well Skyfire knows him.

Hurray for you for commenting on the background info! I love world building. I felt it was important to include some clear differences in how seekers' experience tactile stimulous, because even if they're the same frame type, they're different people and not everyone likes the same things. Some people like having their toes touch, others like myself, will go completely bat shit if you touch the soles of their feet.

I can't stand any tickling anywhere. I hope I never fall in love with someone with a strong need to satisfy that fetish. The relationship would not end well.

And Starscream doesn't always react to mistreatment with uncomplicated hatred...

Personally, I think he'd hate him with even more Venom than Warp. It'd be a much more personal loathing.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh SKYFIRE AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

D:

Okay now that I've gotten that out of the way, maybe I can say something useful about how intensely creepy and awesome this was <333 I think the thing that stands out to me most, especially with the first half before Skyfire gets back, is that you really show us everything. You don't gloss over Skywarp's thoughts and actions and make it go by quickly, you show us every step. With a story like this, it really ups the tension level. We are right there with him going "oh god but what if Skyfire gets back before he finishes? shit this isn't going to work, oh fuck!" the entire time ( ... )

I almost cut a lot of that before I let you read it and you liked it. I thought I was dwadling, but no, NO, I was creating tension!

And if it helps your heart, look at it this way- which is worse, not quite getting there before getting dragged back, or getting outside, falling down many times, getting even more damaged, and then, inevitably, getting found and most likely treated even more suffocatingly then before after actually gaining your freedom?

The bald faced molesting is slightly less disturbing because at least Skyfire's up front about it. Any little touch, and having Starscrea/Skywarp so depended, so helpless in his arms is an enormous thrill for him. Starscream is his, and he needs him, and he can touch him and pet him however he wants, talk to him however he likes and Starscream can do nothing to stop it. I find that infinitely more perverse and disturbing than the emotional breakdown molesting.
