There's a wonderful noir-ish feeling to this piece, as though we're caught in Booth's terrible fever dream.

I keep reading this over and over and thinking that it could be a scrap from a pulp novella. Your Booth is so hard to watch and that's absoutely right because he *should* be.

Very nice that Gunn is the tender element here -- giving the only thing he's got to share. Snack cakes and wooden stakes. And Booth is so hollow and bereft he doesn't even ask.

Damn, you are good. Loved every word, as always.

Wow, Snow, this one really got to me in every conceivable way. Booth has been to hell and back, and now it lives inside of him, so this incarnation of Booth also evokes Angel-with-a-soul, Angel-dropping-the-match, Angelus, and David all rolled into one war-torn package. And using early Gunn to set it all up? Fucking brilliant.

And it all feels so fluid just like Booth.

Even when he showered, he never felt clean. He wasn't sure he ever would again.

Great line. Perfectly dark.

The scene at the counter is brilliant, you can just hear the muted sound of it all, the terrifying silence of violence about to explode.

Do you know how much I love that you can write sex in all of about three words and still have it be so hot? A whole frickin' lot. :)
