Aug 15, 2005 12:40

Hi folks. ^^ I finally finished the translation for Songs magazine! Actually, I finshed them a couple of days ago, but I was not satisfied with it at all and I was wondering if I should even post it. But after 2 days of editing and some strong persuasion from Sarah (Thanks, girl. *grin*), here they are. :D I hoep you enjoy them.

Wow, that was lucky timing, I'd just accidentally refreshed the page I'd just loaded and this popped up XD

Thank you so much for that, it really seemed like it was a pain to translate... But it was really really good to read ^_^

I think he really has accomplished his goal of getting his meaning out through the music as well as the words, it's part of why I like him so much. Even if you have no idea what the words mean (or only a couple of words) you can still understand what the song's about... In fact, even after reading translations I've still had trouble explaining what some of the songs are about to people... You just have to listen to them!

And yeah, I enjoyed the extra detail from the stuff in Jihaku as well. It's always nice to hear about how people got started doing what they do ^_^

Yep, I agree entirely. Noesis absolutely rocks *bounce* Like it more every time I hear it, if that's even possible...

Ahahahahahaha.... XDDDD You are most welcome and I'm glad it was easy to read for you. ^^

Yeah, I can understand that feeling after listening to LL Korean. Because that is the only language he sings in that I don't understand. ^^; But I could still feel his emotions and feelings very strongly. Hahaha, yeah...

*bounces along with you* XD And I so know what you mean. *0* It's like you discover something new everytime you listen to it. Brilliant. *0*

That article really...I love it. Because I have a passion for music, too. And I totally understand his meanings. Your translation of it, I mean XD You did a good job!

He's very, very inspiring.

And I got an exact idea of what he mean by classical being played by different people. That the emotions change a little bit each time. It reminded me of some Franz Liszt I was listening to earlier. There's this etude called "Mazeppa". The first time I heard it, it sounded angry and fierce. Very moving, but very angry. And it did move me. The second recording of it that I had heard was so very different from the first recording. The second was full of angst, sadness, and desperate depression and passion. The emotions were different because it was played by different piano players, and they each had their own interpretation of the etude. I love the latter so much more because it has a striking passion in it that the first didn't ( ... )

XDDDD Yeap, I think it's really amazing too. :D This is the hardest, but also the most rewarding article I've ever done. ^^ Well, I think it ties with b=pass, that is. XD

*nods nods* I heard from a friend of mine who plays the piano that it's precisely his classical background that made his music so amazing. And I agree. I guess that's why you can't really place him in any genre, his music is too diverse!! You can hear violin, piano, shamisen and many others in one rock song!! That's simply crazy... in a good way. ^^ I feel like he is truly a genius in music.

It's so amazing that SOUNDS can describe the painting of life. Just sounds. It totally fascinates me. I am passionately in love with music, and many forms of expression, because emotions are so powerful for me.Wow, that's some powerful words. And I totally agree with you!! I think I can understand what kind of person you are. ^^ It truly is amazing, isn't it ( ... )

It's true. He definitely knows what he's doing, and he knows what he wants. And he will definitely get it, because that's Gackt. :D And he's a hell of a lot smarter than most other braindead popstars.

I think I can understand what kind of person you are. ^^

OHNOES! I HAVE BEEN FOUNDED OUTSS!!! XDD What do you really mean, though?

*hugglies too*

Here's the Mazeppa song, if you want it :D It's the more "passionate" recording, I think.

XDDDD Good then!! XD

Yeah... It's a true pity when that happens. And then their music dies before they can discover the important things. It's the same for me. Japanese music draws me because they are... real, they are passionate. It's rare to see these kind in the Western market nowadays. .___.

^^ Good luck, then, in all that you strive hard to do!!

You are very welcome. :D
