You know, I self-identify as a migrant, even if I don't talk about it much because I pass as 'Australian' (oh and boy does that terminology make spit teeth) and I'm nodding with what you're saying about the migrant myth. My parents also left for a better, safer life (even though they were the privileged minority in South Africa) and the freedoms that we have in Australia are amazing and worth celebrating and I'm glad that you have them too.

Poor + self-expression: seconds that lifestyle choice!

PS Can I steal you on a Tuesday night to come on Here Comes Mars sometime - I keep meaning to ask you in person but I haven't been getting out ... and we should start up the crafting again now it's not ridiculously hot!

I LOVE YOU QUEER BROWN TINY PERSON. You are so adorables, you will find ok-ness, I know it, I feel like you need to do more of embracing who you are/choose to be, which will come with time, and distance from the fambily, before you're ok with embracing or even being repulsed by els.

Hooray for Australia and being brown bb. My parents are back in indo this week, and my mum called me - I asked her how she was - she said it was shit. Which is why I didn't go/porcupine tree love.

At least you still have connections to your culture and make it work for you here. I've pretty much got rid of most of my indonesian-ness, makes me a bit sad.
