My makeup is Mehron Paradise Makeup AQ. It's a water-soluble and water-activated makeup that dries very quickly and it's very difficult to rub off, especially when coupled with the Mehron setting powder and setting spray.
I noticed that when most people cover themselves with makeup for a costume, they do all one color. And no matter how smooth the makeup goes on it still looks very fake, like makeup on skin. I've finally figured out why. Skin *isn't* all one color, especially the skin on your face. Your cheeks and lips are a little pink and the skin around your eyes is very thin so it appears darker. I used *four* different colors of makeup to make my skin purple. The most obvious color variance is around my eyes.
I noticed there was... shading. Around the eyes, anyway. Yes, you're right-- it's much better than when most people do makeup. I wasn't even aware of *why* it looked better. :)
I hear good things about Dylon, but nothing in detail. Good luck with that, for sure. Oh those boots are *sexy*.

Yes, that was rather my point. I'm never actually at a loss for words

This is awesomeness incarnate! So...for the Andre costume, so that we can help get you up here for the con, you can e-mail the details to tyson.vanover@gmail.com, which is my boyfriend's e-mail address. He's eager to start planning this with you.
Excellent! I'll have to put that on my list of things-to-do, though. My project list is a bit daunting as of now and a good portion of those projects have to be done by Comic Con so I can't guarantee anything but it really shouldn't take me too long to at least figure out the construction of the costume and generate a rough quote. I might even be able to get that done tonight when I'm too sleepy to trust myself with the sewing machine but not sleepy enough to go to bed yet.
Also, I wanted to ask you something. I thought of another thing I'd have to worry about for Kumoricon; a place to stay! The point is, hotels are expensive. You wouldn't by any chance be able to put me up for a few nights or know of anyone else who could, would you?

"I was wondering about the boots. Where does one get boots that are a) thigh-high, and b) paintable??"Here: http://exotichighheels.stores.yahoo.net/thighhighboots.html... )
