Tonight at soccer I went up for a header, cracked heads with a guy on the other team and ended up splitting my scalp open. I now have first-hand experience with the fact that yes, head wounds bleed a lot

Heads and ears bleed like mo'fos. If it is nice and scabbed over, getting it wet should not be too much of a problem - you could put some kind of band aid or dressing on it for showering purposes. We have lots of experience with head wounds in the Counsel house.
I was all ready to keep playing until I felt the blood dripping down my neck. Um, maybe not, then.
It's better today but it hasn't exactly scabbed over yet. I'm just not sure how to get a bandage to stick to my hair in the shower. I had gauze wrapped around my head last night just in case so I wouldn't bleed all over my pillow.
