Alicia/Will - As I move my feet towards your body I can hear this beat, it fills my head up And gets louder and louder It fills my head up and gets louder and louder -from Florence + the Machine's Drumming Song

In the pale light of the bedroom at the Ritz-Carlton, the zipper on her skirt hits a snag.
“Sorry,” Will mutters, a low swear under his breath. Two long fingers slide into her waistband, smoothing the wrinkled fabric, his knuckles cool and rough against her skin. He smells like limes. “I’m nervous.”
“You’re nervous?” she asks, smiling a little. “Think how I feel. You did just pay seventy eight hundred bucks to--”
“Stop,” he says (he’s blushing). “Come on. You make it sound like Indecent Proposal. I just-- I mean, I thought if we didn’t...”
“Mm-hmm.” Alicia laughs. She likes to tease him; she forgot this about herself, or tried to. “I knew you were rich,” she says. “I didn’t know you were a gajillionaire.”
“Alicia,” he says softly (God, he is, he’s blushing, just like he used to when

Oh MY how this makes me happy. I LOVE the intersection of the sweet, nervous, excitement of their "one hour," and the Georgetown memories, because all that history is what makes this so special, yanno? Your dialogue is all so lovely and meaningful, and the imagery you choose is gorgeous. It's just all warm and sweet and sexy and gah. Really wonderful stuff; I do hope you'll write more!
I literally squealed at the last line. It was rather embarrassing. BUT WORTH IT. God, I love the idea of this... that despite all the desperate trying to forget and leave each other behind, they just. can't. do it. It's all so painful, but I think, as you showed here, that makes it all the sweeter when they find their way back to one another. On a post-it, if need be.:)
It's like the start of a bad joke. Alicia and Kalinda walk into a bar.
"You're depressing," Owen announced. "I love you, but you're depressing. And you're an alcoholic. And I hate to say it, but your needy, depressing alcoholism is cutting into my very busy social life, so..."
"Do you want a table or the bar?" Kalinda asks.
Alicia looks at her askance. Kalinda heads for the bar.
"You know what you need? You need a friend."
"You're my friend," Alicia protested.
"I'm your brother," Owen replied. "Your brother with a hot new boyfriend who has been texting him scandalous things all evening. Here, give me your phone."
"What do you want?" Kalinda asks, settling onto a stool.
"I'm not sure I should have anything," Alicia replies stiffly. "Owen and I consumed... a fair amount of wine."
"Give it back!" Alicia shrieked. "Owen, that's my work phone! You can't drunk text my work people!"
They go with shots of tequila. For old time's sake.
Owen, gleefully evading Alicia's grasping hands, pressed some buttons and held the

AWWWWWWWWWW! Adorable! XP Bonus points for a drunk Owen! Not Will, but even better, Kalinda! Yay! XP Thanks for sharing! I can just imagine Kalinda all wide eyed, and then smiling.
This made my morning, really. Oh my gosh, this needs to happen. Your Owen is perfect (I hate to say it, but your needy, depressing alcoholism is cutting into my very busy social life, so... -- YES, SO OWEN), and he would totally, totally know that Alicia misses/needs Kalinda, and he would do this. And he SHOULD do this. And omg, the SOFT SPOT I have for awkward post-fallout A/K bar convos. ♥ ♥
So much love. THANK YOU for writing this one; I was really, REALLY hoping someone would, and I couldn't have asked for more.
