Omg, what am I even doing?
---
It’s all in the breaths between their words, the way she carries herself; even around Will (who she’s known for years) she wears a mask.
Why it’s Alicia-Alicia with her porcelain skin and long legs and more pain than anyone should have to bear-that forces her to open, to feel, she isn’t sure.
She sort of hates her for it.
(Only she doesn’t.
She really, really doesn’t.)
From the beginning she’d noticed the way she’d stand an inch too close to the older woman, her hand brushing against hers, their shoulders bumping together as they downed shot after shot.
Somewhere after they’d become real friends (not just coworkers or people who had drinks together) she realized that it was something conscious, something she wanted.
Needed. They’re standing the conference room as everyone files in for the weekly staff meeting when Alicia sidles up next to her
( ... )

Dude, I'll tell you what you're doing. You're writing a little bit of AMAZINGNESS.
She sort of hates her for it.

Kalinda totally, totally hates Alicia a little for making her feel stuff. Except for the part where she loves her too much to hate her, and that makes her feel even MORE uncomfortable. I LOVE THIS VULNERABILITY.
The hand-holding just pwns me. Like, I'm not even kidding, b/c I know Kalinda's heart is probably like exploding and when her heart does, mine does too. BOOM.

That icon is AMAZING. :)
I'm so happy this worked for you. And I love that the elbowing stood out to you, I wrote it without second thought and when something like that catches someone's attention it makes me happy.
Anyhow, rambling done, thanks so much for reading and commenting (if you couldn't tell I was a little nervous about it). ♥

At any rate, I really appreciate the lovely comments especially since, as you know, I was sorta freaking out posting it.
I'm particularly happy that Kalinda hating (but not) Alicia for making her feel things was so IC to you and that the hand holding felt organic.
Thanks again for the thoughts; glad you enjoyed it ♥
