Mm wow. Particularly loved these lines:
She may have acted mysterious and sensual, but to Alicia she had seemed open and accessible.
It turned out that sometimes the easy way and the hard way were synonymous.

And she had slid into that realm of the hard-gingerly picking her way through feelings that had hidden behind shots of tequila and wry looks and shoulder bumps and small smiles. And finally, Alicia had understood.

Oh yes, please, just like this. *happy sigh* If Alicia just considered forgiveness as an option (and realized the OTHER feelings that underlie her hurt and pain), I think the rest could follow so much more smoothly than either of them could realize. And if THIS is the hard way, I don't want it to be easy.:)
