Oh and I also laughed like a 12 year old at the whole "going down" thing too!

OK, so aside from the spectacular if not unexpected lack of follow-up on the A/K interactions from the previous epis and my heart steeling itself against Kalinda being written out of the show based on Canning's misguided demand for her loyalty, is it just me or did it sound like he introduced himself to the partners as 'Loose Canon'?

Anyway, I have enjoyed the NSA sl throughout the season because those eavesdroppers are so much like us, and in this epi we got to see one of them actually fangirling:)

Slashy, good to see you back!

I did not notice that, but if it was intentional that's kind of apt AND hilarious.

Is there any other regular cast member that Alicia/JM has not been in a scene with in over 22 episodes? When a show centers around a character like this, all other characters story lines must interact with the main character in order to exist - their story is told through their interactions with Alicia. Archie said as much in the Huffington Post piece.(Archie speaking about Kalicia:" They've not a had a single scene together. I feel one of the reasons why my character's kept apart is because she's so disconnected from "The Good Wife" story wise and scene wise, and the very existence of Kalinda is her connection to Alicia ( ... )

I like having you around, Kate. You speak the truth! No, A/K seem to be the only "banned" pair, and yes, it is hard for me to imagine ANY reason for this other than offscreen weirdness. Which is SO BIZARRE, because AP seems so damn likable and JM so otherwise professional. But I can't think of a single thing else that could explain this length and level of disconnect.

If this is how things are going to be indefinitely, I think it is almost better for Kalinda to be written out. Better than the half-assed stuff she's been getting for a season. I'll never stop mourning the loss of her, but canon is harshing my buzz. A/K can exist happily in my overactive imagination.

Although Kalinda has always been my favourite, I am inclined to agree with you. If there's not going to be any meaningful Kalicia reconciliation/interaction, I think it's time to put the character out of her misery. Also because I feel sorry for AP, I'd hate to think that being on this show with so little substance to her character this season (and the second half of the one before that) she'd have to pass on other, potentially more rewarding projects.

It will horrify me if it happens...but it's hard to disagree. The saddest part though, is that her sendoff will probably be as half-arsed as her use for the last year and a half.
