I haven't updated in a while, and I guess it's about time. I graduated from Miami in May and have since been looking for a job. I'm hoping to have something by the end of September. I came back to Oxford around 4 and I was telling my roommate Beckie about Easter dinner and I said:
"There was so much food. We had ham, roasted chicken and...oh, what's the name?...you know, that breaded chicken that's like Kentucky Fried Chicken but not the brand name..."

Oh, how laughter ensued.

I am now officially an English Lit/History double major. Now does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do with said majors? 'Cause I don't!

Move in day went fairly well. We were here at about a quarter to 9 and I was unpacked by 11. I don't like my room as much as last year's, but it's still pretty nice. I am so far out in the boonies though, it takes 10 minutes just to walk to Shriver. But I am only about 20 feet away from Millet and a dining hall, so there are pros and cons to

Well, I've declared a major! I am now officially an English Literature major. What I'll do with that, I have no idea. I think I'll double major, but I haven't decided what that will be yet. Anyways, I'm happy with my choice and let's hope I stay that way ( Read more... )

My first day of classes was today. It was ok. My english teacher is crazy, abrasive and cussed a lot. So it is yet to be seen if I will find this endearing or repulsive. I seriously walked a collective of two hours today. I was surprised by how not nervous I was, it just seemed natural. My roommate asked me why I don't talk during class group ( Read more... )

Well, the big news has finally arrived! My room is 242 Tappan Hall (and I have air-conditioning - yeah!) and my roommate is Rebecca Supiano of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Now I only have to work up the guts to call her. I hate calling people I don't know.
