well folks, it looks like i'll probably be evacuating new orleans again this year thanks to Gustav..i'm planning to leave tomorrow afternoon and driving to dallas, then gonna stay there for a couple of days to see how this all pans out

Good luck! If you hit bad traffic evacuating, my family learned that it is quicker to take 55 to Jackson and then 20 to Dallas. That way you can avoid the hell on 10. That's how we left with Katrina, and it took us 12 hours to get home and Roshni took 14 hours I beleive just to get to Houston on 10.
