Summary: Kazumi’s starts a new school with the fear of not fitting in. However she quickly befriends Tomoyo and Jinnifer, two of the prettiest girls in school. Jinnifer is also the girl Kazumi fell for the moment she laid eyes on her in the classroom.
Warning: In this story Kame, Jin and Yamapi are GIRLS and not really in a crack-ish way. In this Universe they’re born girls and will always stay girls. All other Johnny’s mentioned in this story is boys though.

A/N: This story popped up into my head a few nights ago. I don’t know how or why but it did. I’ve never written femslash before and not read much of it either. However I couldn’t let this story go so I wrote it down. If you don’t like this kind of stuff then don’t read it because I don’t want to get any bashing comments. With that said, I hope that the ones of you that do read this will find it enjoyable and I hope that they all somehow stayed in character despite them being girls :)
Kazumi opened the room to the changing room with caution so that she wouldn’t bring too much attention to herself. She had always hated changing in front of others ever since she reached puberty and since this was her first day in this school she was feeling extra nervous. She was not nearly as developed as it seemed like every other girl her age was. Her breast looked like mosquito bites and she hadn’t even gotten her first period. The fact that she hadn’t gotten her period didn’t bother her too much because she’d heard stories about cramps so bad you might faint. However it would somehow be nice to be able to relate when other girls complained about it. She would love to have bigger breasts though so that she wouldn’t be mistaken for being ten instead of fifteen as often as she did.
She sighed before she proceeded to make her way into the room while looking for an empty spot for her to change. No one seemed to notice her as they all just continued to undress themselves and talk loudly about the boys in school. She clenched her bag with gym wear tighter when she noticed that the only free spot was one by the wall and next to that beautiful girl she had noticed the moment she entered the classroom that morning. The girl had been sitting by the windows, twirling a lock of her long brown, curly hair around a finger while looking outside with a dreamy look in her eyes. She had taken Kazumi’s breath away and she had just barely been able to introduce herself for the class without stuttering too much.
She gulped and walked over to the free spot and put her bag down. She dared a glance at the girl and froze when the other pushed the white shirt of her shoulders and then proceeded to take off her bra. Kazumi couldn’t help but stare. Her classmate had beautiful breast. Round and full but not too big and they bounced slightly as she moved her arms while talking with the girl next to her.
“What are you looking at?” the girl suddenly asked with a slight frown as she turned and stared down at Kazumi.
“No-nothing” Kazumi replied and quickly started to take out her gym wear to distract herself.
“Okay” the girl shrugged and put her sports bra on. “I’m Jinnifer and you’re name’s Kazumi, right?”
“Yes” Kazumi swallowed hard.
“This is Tomoyo” Jinnifer said and pulled the girl next to her by the arm. She was really pretty too and had really nice eyes.
“Hi” Tomoyo smiled. “I like your hair slip”
Kazumi’s hand instinctively reached up to fiddle with the flowery hair slip her mother had suggested she’d wear on her first day. “Thanks” she smiled faintly.
“You should hurry up and change Kazumi” Jinnifer said as she put on her t-shirt. “Nagase-sensei is a bitch. He hates it when you take too much time changing”
Kazumi didn’t know what to reply so she just nodded and started to unbutton her shirt. She was kind of nervous and her fingers fiddled and slipped slightly. She could feel the other look at her and it made her uneasy.
“You have good taste” Jinnifer commented when Kazumi finally managed to get her shirt off. “That bra is really cute”
Kazumi blushed and just barely managed to get out a thank you.
“You should come shopping with me and Tomo-chan sometime” Jinnifer smiled.
“Totally” Tomoyo agreed pulling her own gym shirt on.
“I’d love to” Kazumi smiled faintly as she tried her best to hide her naked chest as she changed into her own sports bra.
After that Kazumi started to hang out with Jinnifer and Tomoyo all the time both in and outside of school. It turned out that the both of them lived on the same street as her so they were able to walk to and from school together as well. Kazumi was happy that they wanted to be her friends, but at the same time thought it was kind of strange. Why would they who both looked, but especially Jinnifer, like goddesses want to hang out with someone as plain and boring looking like herself. She didn’t ponder about it too much though since she was too happy to be their friend even if it almost killed her being so close to Jinnifer. But since she knew she would never have a chance to be with Jinnifer the way she really wanted she was contented with just being friends.
“You know what Kazu-chan?” Jinnifer said and looked up from the magazine she was reading while lying on top of Kazumi’s bed. Tomoyo was sitting by the end of the bed with her legs crossing over Jinnifer’s and Kazumi was currently looking through her own CD collection to decide what music to play.
“What?” Kazumi asked turning around with a Bob Dylan CD in her hand. Tomoyo was also giving Jinnifer her full attention.
“You would look absolutely beautiful with this lipstick on” Jinnifer said and turned the magazine to show an ad for a new lipstick. “You should get it”
“I dunno” Kazumi shrugged. She wasn’t really a fan of makeup but she did like nail polish, and in all kinds of different colours.
“If you wore this to school people would start to notice how cute you are” Tomoyo smiled. “Well if you pluck your eyebrows as well that is.”
“But that hurts so much” Kazumi’s hands flew up to cover her eyebrows. She remembered when she tried to do it once a couple of years ago and just thinking about it made her wince in pain.
“Not if you anesthetize your eyebrows first with ice” Jinnifer grinned. “We could do it for you. Those eyebrows really doesn’t do your face any justice”
Kazumi blushed and turned away. She couldn’t help it but every time Jinnifer complimented her for something her heart raced and she blushed furiously.
“I have a tweezer in my bag” Tomoyo said crawling off the bed to grab her bag. “We could do it right away”
“Yes let’s do it!” Jinnifer beamed and jumped off the bed and grabbed Kazumi by the hand “Come Kazu-chan. Let’s get some ice”
Kazumi didn’t protest because all she could think about in that moment was how nice and warm Jinnifer’s hand was as it held hers securely.
A moment later Kazumi was sitting in her desk chair with Tomoyo standing behind with her hands on Kazumi’s shoulders while Jinnifer was holding a bag of ice against her right eyebrow. Kazumi felt just as nervous as the first time she spoke to Jinnifer but tried not to show it. It was not good for her health to have Jinnifer’s face so close to hers as it causing her heart to beat rapidly against her ribcage.
“I think this will do” Jinnifer grinned and put the bag away. “The tweezer, please?” she held her hand out to Tomoyo who was quick to hand the tool to her.
“Wait!” Kazumi shrieked as Jinnifer moved in to start her task.
“Okay” Jinnifer smiled and Tomoyo squeezed Kazumi’s shoulder gently. Kazumi gulped and then took a deep breath.
“Okay, you can start” she then said and closed her eyes tightly. She didn’t dare to have them open with Jinnifer so close and with the first few buttons undone in her school shirt her bent down position gave Kazumi a good view of her cleavage. She gulped again and then let out a soft hiss in pain when the first strand was plucked from her brow. It didn’t hurt that much though, not as bad as when she had tried it herself when she was 13, and Jinnifer was working fast so it would hopefully soon be over.
“Look!” Jinnifer beamed and Kazumi opened her eyes to look at her reflection in the hand mirror Tomoyo was holding out in front of her. She couldn’t believe what she saw. The eyebrows were shaped in to a beautiful bow making it easier to take notice of her eyes. The main attraction in her face wasn’t the bushy eyebrows anymore.
“I bet a lot of guys will go after you know” Tomoyo smirked.
“Yeah, now when they can see how beautiful you are” Jinnifer smiled and making Kazumi’s insides go crazy. She didn’t want boys to fall for her. She only wanted Jinnifer but she couldn’t say that so she just settled with giving her best friends a soft smile.
The change in Kazumi’s appearance really did wonders. It had only gone a couple of days before a boy, Nishikido Ryo, from 2B asked her out. He was one of the more popular boys in his year but Kazumi didn’t feel right about dating someone she didn’t like, and would never grow to like, so she rejected him. She didn’t tell Tomoyo or Jinnifer about that happening because she knew they’d make a big deal about it. Then another boy, this time from their class asked her out in front of everyone in the class room just a week later. This time Kazumi didn’t say no. She wouldn’t feel good about refusing him when everyone was watching so she agreed on going on one date with Tanaka Koki. The date ended up being a disaster with them barely saying anything to each others. It probably was mostly her fault since she couldn’t help but think about what Jinnifer was doing all the time. She just couldn’t help it and when Tanaka-kun brought her home after the date he didn’t mention anything about going on a second date. After that not many asked her out, they’d probably heard about what a bad date she was. It was only a few boys from the higher classes that asked but she rejected them all, even the ones that asked her in front of others. She just didn’t want to let anybody else go through being close to ignored throughout a whole date. It just wouldn’t be fair on them.
It was a Friday in the middle of November when something Kazumi hadn’t been prepared for happened. She was going for a pee but when she pulled down her panties she noticed a few red stains on the light blue fabric. She panicked and quickly looked into the toilet bowl. The water there was slowly turning pink with every drop of blood that was dripping from her. Why did this have to happen now? She didn’t have any pads or tampons with her. She didn’t know what to do. Outside the cubical Jinnifer was talking loudly about a new movie she wanted to go and see but when she didn’t get any reply from Kazumi she stopped. Kazumi heard how she walked closer to her cubical and then stopped outside of it.
“Are you okay, Kazu-chan?” she asked and sounded worried.
“No” Kazumi replied and then gulped hard.
“No?” the worry in Jinnifer’s voice increased “What’s wrong?”
“I...” Kazumi started and then took a deep breath before she continued. “Do you have any pads or tampons?”
“What?” Jinnifer sounded surprised. “Why would- Oh, you’ve gotten your first period!”
She sounded more delighted than Kazumi thought was necessary, but then again Jinnifer was a bit different than most people. She could get happy for the smallest things but she could also become extremely unhappy for the pettiest things as well.
“Yes” Kazumi mumbled. “So do you have-?”
“No, my period finished a couple of days ago but Tomoyo should have.” Jinnifer replied. “She’s still on her period. Wait here while I run of and get her”
Kazumi didn’t bother with a reply before Jinnifer rushed out of the bathroom to get their friend.
Jinnifer was only gone a few minutes but it felt like hours to Kazumi. She didn’t know what to think about this all. In a way she was relieved that it had finally happened but at the same time she felt embarrassed. She knew she could talk about this kinds of things with her friends, she’d heard them complain and talk about it a lot of times already during their now five and a half months long friendship, but it still felt strange and awkward having to ask for something like that. This really wasn’t how she had imagined the first time she got her period to happen. She had hoped that it would happen in the security of her own home where she had a stack of pads and tampons waiting to be used.
“We’re back!” Jinnifer called out as she came back into the bathroom. Tomoyo was with her, Kazumi could tell by the sound of another pair of feet. The door to the cubical next to hers was slammed open and she could hear them both get into it.
“Are you okay, Kazu-chan?” Jinnifer’s voice now came from above and Kazumi was quick to cover her lower body as she looked up at her friends. They were both apparently standing on top of the toilet seat next door, keeping their balance by holding on to the wall.
“What are you doing?” Kazumi glared at them.
“Making sure you’re okay” Tomoyo grinned. “So I heard you’ve finally got your period.”
Kazumi just nodded and then looked down at her own feet.
“Here, use this” a sanitary pad wrapped up in pink plastic landed on the floor next to her feet.
“Thanks” she mumbled and picked it up. “Could you know please look away?”
“Why? This is nothing to be ashamed of. It’s only natural” Jinnifer smiled. “and after all We’re best friends, aren’t we?”
“Ye,s but it’s still embarrassing, so please?” Kazumi begged.
“Okay” Tomoyo said and jumped down from the toilet seat and brought Jinnifer down with her.
“Thanks” Kazumi sighed and then quickly unwrapped the pad and fastened it inside of her panties.
“You’re not feeling any pain are you?” Jinnifer asked when she emerged from the cubical. “Like cramps in your stomach or back?”
“No” Kazumi felt really uneasy about this whole situation and her friends eyes on her didn’t make the situation any better.
“Good” Jinnifer sighed and then smiled brightly. “We should go out and celebrate this after school”
“Why?” Kazumi looked at Jinnifer with shocked eyes.
“Because it’s a big deal, right, Tomo-chan?” Jinnifer replied and looked over at the other girl with expectation. “It should be celebrated”
“Yeah, I’m always up for reasons to celebrate but I can’t do it today” Tomoyo said and looked both apologetic and excited at the same time.
“Why?” Jinnifer asked with piercing eyes. Tomoyo usually never had plans with anyone but them.
“Because Ikuta-kun asked me out on a date” Tomoyo’s face was glowing with happiness as she announces that finally, finally, her crush since she started high school has asked her out.
“He has! Why haven’t you told me?” Jinnifer shrieked and grabbed Tomoyo’s shoulders to shake her.
“Because it happened just before you came and told me that Kazu-chan needed me” Tomoyo smirked and pushed Jinnifer’s hands away.
“Oh,” Jinnifer calmed down for a second before she smiled almost as brightly as Tomoyo. “I’m so happy for you. You have to call us as soon as you get back home tonight. We need to know everything!”
“Of course I will” Tomoyo smiled and draped an arm each across their backs and pulled them into an awkward kind of group hug. “You’re my best friends after all”
“I’m happy for you as well” Kazumi smiled as they started to make their way out from the bathroom.
“How do you think it is going?” Jinnifer asked dangling her legs from the edge of her bed.
“What?” Kazumi asked looking up from painting her toenails in a new dark blue colour she had purchased earlier.
“Tomo-chan’s date of course” Jinnifer frowned and slide down from the bed to sit down next Kazumi where she was sitting on the floor. “Do you think it’s going well?”
“I’m sure it is” Kazumi smiled. “They’re a good match. Even their names go together, Tomo-chan and Toma-kun”
“I guess” Jin smiled and lifted up the small bottle of nail polish “I like that colour. Do you mind if I borrow some?”
“No, of course you can” Kazumi said and moved away slightly from Jinnifer. The other had sat down a little too close and the way her skirt was riding up her thighs was bad for Kazumi’s wild fantasies.
“Thanks” Jinnifer said and put down the bottle again. She pulled her knees up to her chest, wrapped his hand around them and placed his chin to rest on top. “Kazu-chan, is there someone you like at the moment?”
“Why do you ask so sudden?” Kazumi got startled by the question but didn’t look up from her toenails.
“No reason really” Jinnifer replied. “So is there?”
Kazumi gulped before she looked up from her feet and straight at the other girl. “Yes, but I can’t tell you who” She didn’t know why she had decided to tell Jinnifer that much. It must’ve been the hormones and the new change in her body that was playing tricks with her.
“Why?” Jinnifer frowned.
“Because I just can’t” Kazumi blushed and looked away. “I’m sure you’d be disgusted if you found out”
“Is it a teacher? Kimura-sensei?” Jinnifer inquired and crawled up to sit right in front of Kazumi. “Nagase-sensei?”
“NO!” Kazumi was quick to reply. “No, no certainly not”
“My brother?” Jinnifer asked and looked slightly disgusted at the thought.
“NO!” Kazumi jumped up on her feet. “Stop guessing. I won’t tell you who it is!”
“But Kazu-chan. I’m your best friend!” Jinnifer argued and got on her feet as well. “You can tell me anything”
“Not this” Kazumi said and turned around.
“Yes you can. I won’t judge you” Jinnifer grabbed Kazumi’s hand to turn her back around but the other slapped her hand away.
“You will hate me” Kazumi gritted her teeth feeling frustrated with both herself for saying anything from the start and with Jinnifer’s stubbornness. “You will hate me and never want to hang out with me ever again”
“No I won’t. I promise” Jinnifer grabbed Kazumi’s hand again and this time managed to turn her around. “I won’t hate you even if you tell me that you have a crush on my dad”
“Stop making stupid guesses like that!” Kazumi mumbled. “I still won’t tell you”
“But please” Jinnifer insisted and pulled at Kazumi’s hand. “Please, please, please tell me. I’m dying to know!”
“No” said releasing her hand from Jinnifer’s grip.
“But Kazu-chan!” Jinnifer continued to beg and started to pull at Kazumi’s arm and shirt. It was really starting to go Kazumi on the nerves. Her frustration was growing for every pull at her hand and every sound coming from Jinnifer’s luscious lips. She tried to hold it back. She tried to be strong but...
“SHUT UP! SHUT UP!” Kazumi finally exploded and Jinnifer fell silent in an instant. “IF YOU SO BADLY WANT TO KNOW, THEN FINE! IT’S YOU THAT I LIKE. I’M IN LOVE WITH YOU!”
As soon as she had gotten it out into the open she realized what she had just said and panicked. Jinnifer looked totally stunned and like she hadn’t really processed what had just happened. Kazumi grabbed the chance to reach out for her bag and then dashed out from the room. She didn’t want to wait and hear what Jinnifer was going to say. She already knew what it would be anyway. She would reject her. She would tell her that there was no chance for them to ever happen. She felt tears threatening to fall as she ran down and out from the house but they didn’t start falling until she was safely hidden underneath the duvet in her own bed.
She had no idea for how long she had been crying when she heard the door to her bedroom creak open and the sound of feet making the way across the floor. She could tell it was her oldest brother Yuichiro just by the sound.
“Kazumi?” he whispered and put a hand on her shoulder. “What happened?”
“Leave me be” Kazumi sobbed from underneath the blanket “I don’t wanna talk”
“Okay, then I’ll wait until you’re ready” he said and lay down next to her on the bed and wrapped and arm around her body. It had been a long time since any of her brothers had showed her this kind of affection. She turned around under the blanket and pressed in closer to his body.
“I’m sure that whatever’s happened it’ll be alright” he said caressing her back through the blanket.
“No it won’t” she sniffed but her tears were starting to decrease. She had probably been crying for a couple of hours already. At least it felt like it.
“Love trouble?” Yuichiro asked.
“I said that I don’t wanna talk” Kazumi mumbled.
“Then love it is” he sighed. “Did the boy you like call you ugly?”
“I’m not ugly” she sniffed and then felt how the blanket was lifted from over her head.
“Good that you know that” he smiled. “Good that you’re aware that you’re a beautiful girl.”
She didn’t reply but buried her face into his chest and reached a hand up to clench the fabric of his Mr. Children t-shirt.
“So, what did happen? It’ll feel better if you speak about it” he patted her head with his free hand. “I’ve had my shares of heartaches you know, even if I’m only 19”
She turned her face to look into Yuichiro’s face. He smiled but worry was ghosting over his features.
“If I tell you, you can’t tell anybody else” she started. “Not even mum when she and dad get’s back on Sunday”
“Of course I won’t tell anybody if you don’t want me too” he stroked her hair affectionately.
“Promise?” she asked for confirmation.
“Promise” he nodded. “Now tell me what it is that’s making my little sister so sad”
“I didn’t mean to but I confessed to the one I like” Kazumi said and then quickly hid her face into his shirt again.
“And?”
“And the one I’m in love with is my best friend” Kazumi mumbled against his chest.
“But you only have girl friends- Oh, Oh” he paused for a second before he continued. “You’re in love with another girl”
She just nodded in reply and then her tears started to run violently again. “And now I have totally destroyed out friendship”
“I’m sure you haven’t. If Jinnifer’s a real friend then she’ll be cool about it” Yuichiro wrapped both his arms around her and held her close.
“How did you know it’s Jinnifer?” Kazumi choked out through her sobs.
“Because she’s the one you speak about most of the time” he tightened his hold just a little bit. “Now, try to sleep and it’ll feel better in the morning”
She didn’t reply but closed her eyes and tried her best to relax.
She did feel a bit better, and the cup of tea that was waiting on the bedside table made her smile. It had cooled down enough for her to be able to drink it all in one go. It felt nice the way the tea ran down her throat and then spread warmth out through her body. She smiled again as she put the cup away and made her way to the bathroom. Her body still felt heavy and swollen, something she thought might be an effect of the bleedings.
When she got back from the bathroom and walked into her bedroom she froze in the doorway.
“Hi Kazu-chan” Jinnifer said and sent of a weary smile from where she was sitting on the unmade bed.
“Wh-what are you doing here?” Kazumi managed to get through in a meek voice while she clenched the door handle with all her might.
“We need to talk” Jinnifer said and patted the seat beside her on the bed. “About what you said last night”
“Can’t we just forget about it” Kazumi begged clenching the handle even harder.
“No” Jinnifer let out an overly dramatic sigh and got up from the bed to get closer to Kazumi.
“Why?” Kazumi didn’t dare to look at Jinnifer so she darted her eyes down at the floor.
“Because I don’t want to” a soft hand was put on top of Kazumi’s and gently started to try pry Kazumi’s finger of the handle. “Did you really mean what you said when you said that you’re in love with me?”
Kazumi wanted to deny it, say that it was just her hormones playing with her head but she couldn’t find it in her to do it. She sighed and then answered.
“Yes”
“Since when?” Jinnifer asked and when Kazumi dared to glance over at her she saw a seriousness and a gentleness she had never seen in the other’s eyes before. It made her heart clench and she had to look away again.
“Since the moment I saw you” Kazumi mumbled as Jinnifer finally managed to pry her fingers of the door handle and entangled their fingers. Kazumi was feeling confused and embarrassed and a whole bunch of other feelings.
“For that long?” Jinnifer sounded like she couldn’t believe what she was hearing. “How have you been able to be around me for that long without letting your feelings be known?”
“I don’t know” Kazumi shrugged. “I rather be just friends than nothing at all I guess”
“Okay” Jinnifer pulled her closer by the hand and Kazumi ended up pressed against her. Jinnifer lifted her arms to wrap them around Kazumi’s body to hold her close. The way Jinnifer’s breasts were pressing against Kazumi’s own almost nonexistent ones was an amazing feeling. They felt so soft, like two small cushions and it made Kazumi’s mind cloud over with desire. She dared herself to lift her own hands and clench the back of Jinnifer’s cardigan. She had no idea what was going on, why Jinnifer was holding her like this but it felt nice and she didn’t want the moment to be over anytime soon.
“Kazumi” Jinnifer whispered. “You’re feelings are answered. I’m in love with you too and have been for some time. I don’t know when it started but I realized it just a couple of weeks ago. You were laughing at something I had said and your whole body was shaking and suddenly my heart was beating faster than ever. It was beating so fast I was sure it would explode and I caught myself thinking that I wanted to be the only one to make you laugh like that.”
“Really?” Kazumi asked pulling back slightly but still having a firm grip of Jinnifer’s cardigan.
“Really” Jinnifer nodded. “I’m sorry if I acted bad last night but my mind went totally blank after you’d told me and before I could react in a good way you were gone and I was confused. I wasn’t sure if what happened was actually true or if I had just imagined it. I wasn’t even sure if it was true when I walked here today but the way you reacted when you saw me told me that it probably was and-“
“Shut up” Kazumi said a smile slowly starting to spread across her lips. “You really talk a lot”
“I...” Jinnifer started but then changed her mind and instead leaned in closer to let their lips brush against each others. She had probably intended for it to just be a quick peek but Kazumi couldn’t hold back and brought her hands up to the sides of Jinnifer’s head to keep her in place. She slowly started to move her mouth against Jinnifer’s soft and sticky with strawberry lip gloss covered lips. Jinnifer was quick to understand what was going on and eagerly answered the kiss, biting down on Kazumi’s lower lip and then her tongue darted to lick the abused spot. Kazumi tried to keep her moan low as she opened up her mouth to invite Jinnifer in and soon their tongues were participating in the kiss.
Someone clearing their throat made them pull apart and dread took over Kazumi’s mind that previously had been filled with nothing but desire and joy. She had totally forgotten that they were practically standing in the doorway and anyone could have seen them.
“Tomo-chan” Jinnifer said and Kazumi turned around to face the door and quite right there their friend was standing with a big smirk on her face.
“What are you doing here?” Kazumi asked freeing herself from Jinnifer’s embrace.
“Since I couldn’t get a hold of either one of you last night I thought that I’d come over today and tell you about my date” she answered and looked between them. “But it seems like you two have something more important to tell me.”
Kazumi had no idea what to say and Jinnifer seemed just as unable to find any words as her.
“Come on. Let’s go downstairs and make smoothies. I saw a big bowl of fruits in the kitchen” Tomoyo said and grabbed each of their hands to pull them out from the room. “You can tell me all about your relationship while sipping on a good drink and then I’ll tell you everything about my date afterwards”
“Okay” Jinnifer finally found her voice and Kazumi couldn’t help but smile as they were dragged down the stairs.
“I’m totally cool with it” Tomoyo smiled as Jinnifer had excitedly shared what had happened between her and Kazumi the last 12 hours or so. “I’m totally cool with it as long as you two don’t start kissing and doing stuff in front of me. “But won’t you feel lonely if we start hanging out together just the two of us more often?” Kazumi asked a bit worried. The last thing she wanted was to make their friend feel abandoned.
“Not at all” Tomoyo said stirring her drink with the pink straw and a soft smile spreading out over her lips. “After all, I have a boyfriend now so I hope you’ll be fine without me around all the time”
“Ah, that’s right! Your date, did it go well?” Jinnifer looked at Tomoyo with eager eyes. “Did you guys kiss?”
“I’m not one for kiss and tell, but I’ll tell you this” Tomoyo’s eyes were sparkling. “Toma-kun’s lips are even softer than they look”
Jinnifer shrieked in delight and Kazumi couldn’t help but laugh as her whole body was taken over by pure happiness. Tomoyo joined in on the laughter and soon Jinnifer did as well. They didn’t stop laughing for a long time not even when Yuichiro walked into the kitchen to get a glass of water. He gave Kazumi an amused and questioning look but didn’t say anything. Kazumi made a mental note to be extra nice to her brother the next few weeks.
“Ah, that’s right” Jinnifer said and abruptly stopped laughing. “We haven’t celebrated that you’ve finally gotten your first period”
“There’s no need for that” Kazumi protested and felt her cheeks heat up but her protest fell for deaf ears.
“We should go out shopping” Tomoyo suggested. “And then eat sushi. I haven’t eaten sushi in ages”
“Yeah, and we’ll have cake as dessert” Jinnifer nodded and Kazumi couldn’t find it in her to protest any longer. Shopping and sushi and cake and spending time with Tomoyo and Jinnifer really sounded like the best way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Warning: In this story Kame, Jin and Yamapi are GIRLS and not really in a crack-ish way. In this Universe they’re born girls and will always stay girls. All other Johnny’s mentioned in this story is boys though.

A/N: This story popped up into my head a few nights ago. I don’t know how or why but it did. I’ve never written femslash before and not read much of it either. However I couldn’t let this story go so I wrote it down. If you don’t like this kind of stuff then don’t read it because I don’t want to get any bashing comments. With that said, I hope that the ones of you that do read this will find it enjoyable and I hope that they all somehow stayed in character despite them being girls :)
Kazumi opened the room to the changing room with caution so that she wouldn’t bring too much attention to herself. She had always hated changing in front of others ever since she reached puberty and since this was her first day in this school she was feeling extra nervous. She was not nearly as developed as it seemed like every other girl her age was. Her breast looked like mosquito bites and she hadn’t even gotten her first period. The fact that she hadn’t gotten her period didn’t bother her too much because she’d heard stories about cramps so bad you might faint. However it would somehow be nice to be able to relate when other girls complained about it. She would love to have bigger breasts though so that she wouldn’t be mistaken for being ten instead of fifteen as often as she did.
She sighed before she proceeded to make her way into the room while looking for an empty spot for her to change. No one seemed to notice her as they all just continued to undress themselves and talk loudly about the boys in school. She clenched her bag with gym wear tighter when she noticed that the only free spot was one by the wall and next to that beautiful girl she had noticed the moment she entered the classroom that morning. The girl had been sitting by the windows, twirling a lock of her long brown, curly hair around a finger while looking outside with a dreamy look in her eyes. She had taken Kazumi’s breath away and she had just barely been able to introduce herself for the class without stuttering too much.
She gulped and walked over to the free spot and put her bag down. She dared a glance at the girl and froze when the other pushed the white shirt of her shoulders and then proceeded to take off her bra. Kazumi couldn’t help but stare. Her classmate had beautiful breast. Round and full but not too big and they bounced slightly as she moved her arms while talking with the girl next to her.
“What are you looking at?” the girl suddenly asked with a slight frown as she turned and stared down at Kazumi.
“No-nothing” Kazumi replied and quickly started to take out her gym wear to distract herself.
“Okay” the girl shrugged and put her sports bra on. “I’m Jinnifer and you’re name’s Kazumi, right?”
“Yes” Kazumi swallowed hard.
“This is Tomoyo” Jinnifer said and pulled the girl next to her by the arm. She was really pretty too and had really nice eyes.
“Hi” Tomoyo smiled. “I like your hair slip”
Kazumi’s hand instinctively reached up to fiddle with the flowery hair slip her mother had suggested she’d wear on her first day. “Thanks” she smiled faintly.
“You should hurry up and change Kazumi” Jinnifer said as she put on her t-shirt. “Nagase-sensei is a bitch. He hates it when you take too much time changing”
Kazumi didn’t know what to reply so she just nodded and started to unbutton her shirt. She was kind of nervous and her fingers fiddled and slipped slightly. She could feel the other look at her and it made her uneasy.
“You have good taste” Jinnifer commented when Kazumi finally managed to get her shirt off. “That bra is really cute”
Kazumi blushed and just barely managed to get out a thank you.
“You should come shopping with me and Tomo-chan sometime” Jinnifer smiled.
“Totally” Tomoyo agreed pulling her own gym shirt on.
“I’d love to” Kazumi smiled faintly as she tried her best to hide her naked chest as she changed into her own sports bra.
After that Kazumi started to hang out with Jinnifer and Tomoyo all the time both in and outside of school. It turned out that the both of them lived on the same street as her so they were able to walk to and from school together as well. Kazumi was happy that they wanted to be her friends, but at the same time thought it was kind of strange. Why would they who both looked, but especially Jinnifer, like goddesses want to hang out with someone as plain and boring looking like herself. She didn’t ponder about it too much though since she was too happy to be their friend even if it almost killed her being so close to Jinnifer. But since she knew she would never have a chance to be with Jinnifer the way she really wanted she was contented with just being friends.
“You know what Kazu-chan?” Jinnifer said and looked up from the magazine she was reading while lying on top of Kazumi’s bed. Tomoyo was sitting by the end of the bed with her legs crossing over Jinnifer’s and Kazumi was currently looking through her own CD collection to decide what music to play.
“What?” Kazumi asked turning around with a Bob Dylan CD in her hand. Tomoyo was also giving Jinnifer her full attention.
“You would look absolutely beautiful with this lipstick on” Jinnifer said and turned the magazine to show an ad for a new lipstick. “You should get it”
“I dunno” Kazumi shrugged. She wasn’t really a fan of makeup but she did like nail polish, and in all kinds of different colours.
“If you wore this to school people would start to notice how cute you are” Tomoyo smiled. “Well if you pluck your eyebrows as well that is.”
“But that hurts so much” Kazumi’s hands flew up to cover her eyebrows. She remembered when she tried to do it once a couple of years ago and just thinking about it made her wince in pain.
“Not if you anesthetize your eyebrows first with ice” Jinnifer grinned. “We could do it for you. Those eyebrows really doesn’t do your face any justice”
Kazumi blushed and turned away. She couldn’t help it but every time Jinnifer complimented her for something her heart raced and she blushed furiously.
“I have a tweezer in my bag” Tomoyo said crawling off the bed to grab her bag. “We could do it right away”
“Yes let’s do it!” Jinnifer beamed and jumped off the bed and grabbed Kazumi by the hand “Come Kazu-chan. Let’s get some ice”
Kazumi didn’t protest because all she could think about in that moment was how nice and warm Jinnifer’s hand was as it held hers securely.
A moment later Kazumi was sitting in her desk chair with Tomoyo standing behind with her hands on Kazumi’s shoulders while Jinnifer was holding a bag of ice against her right eyebrow. Kazumi felt just as nervous as the first time she spoke to Jinnifer but tried not to show it. It was not good for her health to have Jinnifer’s face so close to hers as it causing her heart to beat rapidly against her ribcage.
“I think this will do” Jinnifer grinned and put the bag away. “The tweezer, please?” she held her hand out to Tomoyo who was quick to hand the tool to her.
“Wait!” Kazumi shrieked as Jinnifer moved in to start her task.
“Okay” Jinnifer smiled and Tomoyo squeezed Kazumi’s shoulder gently. Kazumi gulped and then took a deep breath.
“Okay, you can start” she then said and closed her eyes tightly. She didn’t dare to have them open with Jinnifer so close and with the first few buttons undone in her school shirt her bent down position gave Kazumi a good view of her cleavage. She gulped again and then let out a soft hiss in pain when the first strand was plucked from her brow. It didn’t hurt that much though, not as bad as when she had tried it herself when she was 13, and Jinnifer was working fast so it would hopefully soon be over.
“Look!” Jinnifer beamed and Kazumi opened her eyes to look at her reflection in the hand mirror Tomoyo was holding out in front of her. She couldn’t believe what she saw. The eyebrows were shaped in to a beautiful bow making it easier to take notice of her eyes. The main attraction in her face wasn’t the bushy eyebrows anymore.
“I bet a lot of guys will go after you know” Tomoyo smirked.
“Yeah, now when they can see how beautiful you are” Jinnifer smiled and making Kazumi’s insides go crazy. She didn’t want boys to fall for her. She only wanted Jinnifer but she couldn’t say that so she just settled with giving her best friends a soft smile.
The change in Kazumi’s appearance really did wonders. It had only gone a couple of days before a boy, Nishikido Ryo, from 2B asked her out. He was one of the more popular boys in his year but Kazumi didn’t feel right about dating someone she didn’t like, and would never grow to like, so she rejected him. She didn’t tell Tomoyo or Jinnifer about that happening because she knew they’d make a big deal about it. Then another boy, this time from their class asked her out in front of everyone in the class room just a week later. This time Kazumi didn’t say no. She wouldn’t feel good about refusing him when everyone was watching so she agreed on going on one date with Tanaka Koki. The date ended up being a disaster with them barely saying anything to each others. It probably was mostly her fault since she couldn’t help but think about what Jinnifer was doing all the time. She just couldn’t help it and when Tanaka-kun brought her home after the date he didn’t mention anything about going on a second date. After that not many asked her out, they’d probably heard about what a bad date she was. It was only a few boys from the higher classes that asked but she rejected them all, even the ones that asked her in front of others. She just didn’t want to let anybody else go through being close to ignored throughout a whole date. It just wouldn’t be fair on them.
It was a Friday in the middle of November when something Kazumi hadn’t been prepared for happened. She was going for a pee but when she pulled down her panties she noticed a few red stains on the light blue fabric. She panicked and quickly looked into the toilet bowl. The water there was slowly turning pink with every drop of blood that was dripping from her. Why did this have to happen now? She didn’t have any pads or tampons with her. She didn’t know what to do. Outside the cubical Jinnifer was talking loudly about a new movie she wanted to go and see but when she didn’t get any reply from Kazumi she stopped. Kazumi heard how she walked closer to her cubical and then stopped outside of it.
“Are you okay, Kazu-chan?” she asked and sounded worried.
“No” Kazumi replied and then gulped hard.
“No?” the worry in Jinnifer’s voice increased “What’s wrong?”
“I...” Kazumi started and then took a deep breath before she continued. “Do you have any pads or tampons?”
“What?” Jinnifer sounded surprised. “Why would- Oh, you’ve gotten your first period!”
She sounded more delighted than Kazumi thought was necessary, but then again Jinnifer was a bit different than most people. She could get happy for the smallest things but she could also become extremely unhappy for the pettiest things as well.
“Yes” Kazumi mumbled. “So do you have-?”
“No, my period finished a couple of days ago but Tomoyo should have.” Jinnifer replied. “She’s still on her period. Wait here while I run of and get her”
Kazumi didn’t bother with a reply before Jinnifer rushed out of the bathroom to get their friend.
Jinnifer was only gone a few minutes but it felt like hours to Kazumi. She didn’t know what to think about this all. In a way she was relieved that it had finally happened but at the same time she felt embarrassed. She knew she could talk about this kinds of things with her friends, she’d heard them complain and talk about it a lot of times already during their now five and a half months long friendship, but it still felt strange and awkward having to ask for something like that. This really wasn’t how she had imagined the first time she got her period to happen. She had hoped that it would happen in the security of her own home where she had a stack of pads and tampons waiting to be used.
“We’re back!” Jinnifer called out as she came back into the bathroom. Tomoyo was with her, Kazumi could tell by the sound of another pair of feet. The door to the cubical next to hers was slammed open and she could hear them both get into it.
“Are you okay, Kazu-chan?” Jinnifer’s voice now came from above and Kazumi was quick to cover her lower body as she looked up at her friends. They were both apparently standing on top of the toilet seat next door, keeping their balance by holding on to the wall.
“What are you doing?” Kazumi glared at them.
“Making sure you’re okay” Tomoyo grinned. “So I heard you’ve finally got your period.”
Kazumi just nodded and then looked down at her own feet.
“Here, use this” a sanitary pad wrapped up in pink plastic landed on the floor next to her feet.
“Thanks” she mumbled and picked it up. “Could you know please look away?”
“Why? This is nothing to be ashamed of. It’s only natural” Jinnifer smiled. “and after all We’re best friends, aren’t we?”
“Ye,s but it’s still embarrassing, so please?” Kazumi begged.
“Okay” Tomoyo said and jumped down from the toilet seat and brought Jinnifer down with her.
“Thanks” Kazumi sighed and then quickly unwrapped the pad and fastened it inside of her panties.
“You’re not feeling any pain are you?” Jinnifer asked when she emerged from the cubical. “Like cramps in your stomach or back?”
“No” Kazumi felt really uneasy about this whole situation and her friends eyes on her didn’t make the situation any better.
“Good” Jinnifer sighed and then smiled brightly. “We should go out and celebrate this after school”
“Why?” Kazumi looked at Jinnifer with shocked eyes.
“Because it’s a big deal, right, Tomo-chan?” Jinnifer replied and looked over at the other girl with expectation. “It should be celebrated”
“Yeah, I’m always up for reasons to celebrate but I can’t do it today” Tomoyo said and looked both apologetic and excited at the same time.
“Why?” Jinnifer asked with piercing eyes. Tomoyo usually never had plans with anyone but them.
“Because Ikuta-kun asked me out on a date” Tomoyo’s face was glowing with happiness as she announces that finally, finally, her crush since she started high school has asked her out.
“He has! Why haven’t you told me?” Jinnifer shrieked and grabbed Tomoyo’s shoulders to shake her.
“Because it happened just before you came and told me that Kazu-chan needed me” Tomoyo smirked and pushed Jinnifer’s hands away.
“Oh,” Jinnifer calmed down for a second before she smiled almost as brightly as Tomoyo. “I’m so happy for you. You have to call us as soon as you get back home tonight. We need to know everything!”
“Of course I will” Tomoyo smiled and draped an arm each across their backs and pulled them into an awkward kind of group hug. “You’re my best friends after all”
“I’m happy for you as well” Kazumi smiled as they started to make their way out from the bathroom.
“How do you think it is going?” Jinnifer asked dangling her legs from the edge of her bed.
“What?” Kazumi asked looking up from painting her toenails in a new dark blue colour she had purchased earlier.
“Tomo-chan’s date of course” Jinnifer frowned and slide down from the bed to sit down next Kazumi where she was sitting on the floor. “Do you think it’s going well?”
“I’m sure it is” Kazumi smiled. “They’re a good match. Even their names go together, Tomo-chan and Toma-kun”
“I guess” Jin smiled and lifted up the small bottle of nail polish “I like that colour. Do you mind if I borrow some?”
“No, of course you can” Kazumi said and moved away slightly from Jinnifer. The other had sat down a little too close and the way her skirt was riding up her thighs was bad for Kazumi’s wild fantasies.
“Thanks” Jinnifer said and put down the bottle again. She pulled her knees up to her chest, wrapped his hand around them and placed his chin to rest on top. “Kazu-chan, is there someone you like at the moment?”
“Why do you ask so sudden?” Kazumi got startled by the question but didn’t look up from her toenails.
“No reason really” Jinnifer replied. “So is there?”
Kazumi gulped before she looked up from her feet and straight at the other girl. “Yes, but I can’t tell you who” She didn’t know why she had decided to tell Jinnifer that much. It must’ve been the hormones and the new change in her body that was playing tricks with her.
“Why?” Jinnifer frowned.
“Because I just can’t” Kazumi blushed and looked away. “I’m sure you’d be disgusted if you found out”
“Is it a teacher? Kimura-sensei?” Jinnifer inquired and crawled up to sit right in front of Kazumi. “Nagase-sensei?”
“NO!” Kazumi was quick to reply. “No, no certainly not”
“My brother?” Jinnifer asked and looked slightly disgusted at the thought.
“NO!” Kazumi jumped up on her feet. “Stop guessing. I won’t tell you who it is!”
“But Kazu-chan. I’m your best friend!” Jinnifer argued and got on her feet as well. “You can tell me anything”
“Not this” Kazumi said and turned around.
“Yes you can. I won’t judge you” Jinnifer grabbed Kazumi’s hand to turn her back around but the other slapped her hand away.
“You will hate me” Kazumi gritted her teeth feeling frustrated with both herself for saying anything from the start and with Jinnifer’s stubbornness. “You will hate me and never want to hang out with me ever again”
“No I won’t. I promise” Jinnifer grabbed Kazumi’s hand again and this time managed to turn her around. “I won’t hate you even if you tell me that you have a crush on my dad”
“Stop making stupid guesses like that!” Kazumi mumbled. “I still won’t tell you”
“But please” Jinnifer insisted and pulled at Kazumi’s hand. “Please, please, please tell me. I’m dying to know!”
“No” said releasing her hand from Jinnifer’s grip.
“But Kazu-chan!” Jinnifer continued to beg and started to pull at Kazumi’s arm and shirt. It was really starting to go Kazumi on the nerves. Her frustration was growing for every pull at her hand and every sound coming from Jinnifer’s luscious lips. She tried to hold it back. She tried to be strong but...
“SHUT UP! SHUT UP!” Kazumi finally exploded and Jinnifer fell silent in an instant. “IF YOU SO BADLY WANT TO KNOW, THEN FINE! IT’S YOU THAT I LIKE. I’M IN LOVE WITH YOU!”
As soon as she had gotten it out into the open she realized what she had just said and panicked. Jinnifer looked totally stunned and like she hadn’t really processed what had just happened. Kazumi grabbed the chance to reach out for her bag and then dashed out from the room. She didn’t want to wait and hear what Jinnifer was going to say. She already knew what it would be anyway. She would reject her. She would tell her that there was no chance for them to ever happen. She felt tears threatening to fall as she ran down and out from the house but they didn’t start falling until she was safely hidden underneath the duvet in her own bed.
She had no idea for how long she had been crying when she heard the door to her bedroom creak open and the sound of feet making the way across the floor. She could tell it was her oldest brother Yuichiro just by the sound.
“Kazumi?” he whispered and put a hand on her shoulder. “What happened?”
“Leave me be” Kazumi sobbed from underneath the blanket “I don’t wanna talk”
“Okay, then I’ll wait until you’re ready” he said and lay down next to her on the bed and wrapped and arm around her body. It had been a long time since any of her brothers had showed her this kind of affection. She turned around under the blanket and pressed in closer to his body.
“I’m sure that whatever’s happened it’ll be alright” he said caressing her back through the blanket.
“No it won’t” she sniffed but her tears were starting to decrease. She had probably been crying for a couple of hours already. At least it felt like it.
“Love trouble?” Yuichiro asked.
“I said that I don’t wanna talk” Kazumi mumbled.
“Then love it is” he sighed. “Did the boy you like call you ugly?”
“I’m not ugly” she sniffed and then felt how the blanket was lifted from over her head.
“Good that you know that” he smiled. “Good that you’re aware that you’re a beautiful girl.”
She didn’t reply but buried her face into his chest and reached a hand up to clench the fabric of his Mr. Children t-shirt.
“So, what did happen? It’ll feel better if you speak about it” he patted her head with his free hand. “I’ve had my shares of heartaches you know, even if I’m only 19”
She turned her face to look into Yuichiro’s face. He smiled but worry was ghosting over his features.
“If I tell you, you can’t tell anybody else” she started. “Not even mum when she and dad get’s back on Sunday”
“Of course I won’t tell anybody if you don’t want me too” he stroked her hair affectionately.
“Promise?” she asked for confirmation.
“Promise” he nodded. “Now tell me what it is that’s making my little sister so sad”
“I didn’t mean to but I confessed to the one I like” Kazumi said and then quickly hid her face into his shirt again.
“And?”
“And the one I’m in love with is my best friend” Kazumi mumbled against his chest.
“But you only have girl friends- Oh, Oh” he paused for a second before he continued. “You’re in love with another girl”
She just nodded in reply and then her tears started to run violently again. “And now I have totally destroyed out friendship”
“I’m sure you haven’t. If Jinnifer’s a real friend then she’ll be cool about it” Yuichiro wrapped both his arms around her and held her close.
“How did you know it’s Jinnifer?” Kazumi choked out through her sobs.
“Because she’s the one you speak about most of the time” he tightened his hold just a little bit. “Now, try to sleep and it’ll feel better in the morning”
She didn’t reply but closed her eyes and tried her best to relax.
She did feel a bit better, and the cup of tea that was waiting on the bedside table made her smile. It had cooled down enough for her to be able to drink it all in one go. It felt nice the way the tea ran down her throat and then spread warmth out through her body. She smiled again as she put the cup away and made her way to the bathroom. Her body still felt heavy and swollen, something she thought might be an effect of the bleedings.
When she got back from the bathroom and walked into her bedroom she froze in the doorway.
“Hi Kazu-chan” Jinnifer said and sent of a weary smile from where she was sitting on the unmade bed.
“Wh-what are you doing here?” Kazumi managed to get through in a meek voice while she clenched the door handle with all her might.
“We need to talk” Jinnifer said and patted the seat beside her on the bed. “About what you said last night”
“Can’t we just forget about it” Kazumi begged clenching the handle even harder.
“No” Jinnifer let out an overly dramatic sigh and got up from the bed to get closer to Kazumi.
“Why?” Kazumi didn’t dare to look at Jinnifer so she darted her eyes down at the floor.
“Because I don’t want to” a soft hand was put on top of Kazumi’s and gently started to try pry Kazumi’s finger of the handle. “Did you really mean what you said when you said that you’re in love with me?”
Kazumi wanted to deny it, say that it was just her hormones playing with her head but she couldn’t find it in her to do it. She sighed and then answered.
“Yes”
“Since when?” Jinnifer asked and when Kazumi dared to glance over at her she saw a seriousness and a gentleness she had never seen in the other’s eyes before. It made her heart clench and she had to look away again.
“Since the moment I saw you” Kazumi mumbled as Jinnifer finally managed to pry her fingers of the door handle and entangled their fingers. Kazumi was feeling confused and embarrassed and a whole bunch of other feelings.
“For that long?” Jinnifer sounded like she couldn’t believe what she was hearing. “How have you been able to be around me for that long without letting your feelings be known?”
“I don’t know” Kazumi shrugged. “I rather be just friends than nothing at all I guess”
“Okay” Jinnifer pulled her closer by the hand and Kazumi ended up pressed against her. Jinnifer lifted her arms to wrap them around Kazumi’s body to hold her close. The way Jinnifer’s breasts were pressing against Kazumi’s own almost nonexistent ones was an amazing feeling. They felt so soft, like two small cushions and it made Kazumi’s mind cloud over with desire. She dared herself to lift her own hands and clench the back of Jinnifer’s cardigan. She had no idea what was going on, why Jinnifer was holding her like this but it felt nice and she didn’t want the moment to be over anytime soon.
“Kazumi” Jinnifer whispered. “You’re feelings are answered. I’m in love with you too and have been for some time. I don’t know when it started but I realized it just a couple of weeks ago. You were laughing at something I had said and your whole body was shaking and suddenly my heart was beating faster than ever. It was beating so fast I was sure it would explode and I caught myself thinking that I wanted to be the only one to make you laugh like that.”
“Really?” Kazumi asked pulling back slightly but still having a firm grip of Jinnifer’s cardigan.
“Really” Jinnifer nodded. “I’m sorry if I acted bad last night but my mind went totally blank after you’d told me and before I could react in a good way you were gone and I was confused. I wasn’t sure if what happened was actually true or if I had just imagined it. I wasn’t even sure if it was true when I walked here today but the way you reacted when you saw me told me that it probably was and-“
“Shut up” Kazumi said a smile slowly starting to spread across her lips. “You really talk a lot”
“I...” Jinnifer started but then changed her mind and instead leaned in closer to let their lips brush against each others. She had probably intended for it to just be a quick peek but Kazumi couldn’t hold back and brought her hands up to the sides of Jinnifer’s head to keep her in place. She slowly started to move her mouth against Jinnifer’s soft and sticky with strawberry lip gloss covered lips. Jinnifer was quick to understand what was going on and eagerly answered the kiss, biting down on Kazumi’s lower lip and then her tongue darted to lick the abused spot. Kazumi tried to keep her moan low as she opened up her mouth to invite Jinnifer in and soon their tongues were participating in the kiss.
Someone clearing their throat made them pull apart and dread took over Kazumi’s mind that previously had been filled with nothing but desire and joy. She had totally forgotten that they were practically standing in the doorway and anyone could have seen them.
“Tomo-chan” Jinnifer said and Kazumi turned around to face the door and quite right there their friend was standing with a big smirk on her face.
“What are you doing here?” Kazumi asked freeing herself from Jinnifer’s embrace.
“Since I couldn’t get a hold of either one of you last night I thought that I’d come over today and tell you about my date” she answered and looked between them. “But it seems like you two have something more important to tell me.”
Kazumi had no idea what to say and Jinnifer seemed just as unable to find any words as her.
“Come on. Let’s go downstairs and make smoothies. I saw a big bowl of fruits in the kitchen” Tomoyo said and grabbed each of their hands to pull them out from the room. “You can tell me all about your relationship while sipping on a good drink and then I’ll tell you everything about my date afterwards”
“Okay” Jinnifer finally found her voice and Kazumi couldn’t help but smile as they were dragged down the stairs.
“I’m totally cool with it” Tomoyo smiled as Jinnifer had excitedly shared what had happened between her and Kazumi the last 12 hours or so. “I’m totally cool with it as long as you two don’t start kissing and doing stuff in front of me. What I saw just now is more than I need to know about what you’ll get up to”
“But won’t you feel lonely if we start hanging out together just the two of us more often?” Kazumi asked a bit worried. The last thing she wanted was to make their friend feel abandoned.
“Not at all” Tomoyo said stirring her drink with the pink straw and a soft smile spreading out over her lips. “After all, I have a boyfriend now so I hope you’ll be fine without me around all the time”
“Ah, that’s right! Your date, did it go well?” Jinnifer looked at Tomoyo with eager eyes. “Did you guys kiss?”
“I’m not one for kiss and tell, but I’ll tell you this” Tomoyo’s eyes were sparkling. “Toma-kun’s lips are even softer than they look”
Jinnifer shrieked in delight and Kazumi couldn’t help but laugh as her whole body was taken over by pure happiness. Tomoyo joined in on the laughter and soon Jinnifer did as well. They didn’t stop laughing for a long time not even when Yuichiro walked into the kitchen to get a glass of water. He gave Kazumi an amused and questioning look but didn’t say anything. Kazumi made a mental note to be extra nice to her brother the next few weeks.
“Ah, that’s right” Jinnifer said and abruptly stopped laughing. “We haven’t celebrated that you’ve finally gotten your first period”
“There’s no need for that” Kazumi protested and felt her cheeks heat up but her protest fell for deaf ears.
“We should go out shopping” Tomoyo suggested. “And then eat sushi. I haven’t eaten sushi in ages”
“Yeah, and we’ll have cake as dessert” Jinnifer nodded and Kazumi couldn’t find it in her to protest any longer. Shopping and sushi and cake and spending time with Tomoyo and Jinnifer really sounded like the best way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
