WOW! Sooooooooooo much has happened. I've been in front of all of the groups now (except Advanced band) and I've taught two full days of concert band AND I'm teaching all day tomorrow by myself! And it feels like more. I taught yesterday and today because of various things (fundraiser and vendors). This week has been so REAL! UF prepares us SUPERBLY for the real world (as much as they can) but DANG! this week I learned SO MUCH! Wow! Today I had my official "Welcome to Public Education" induction. When Ms. Bloom and I arrived today Ms. Berry told us that 3 of our 6 school day classes would be affected by the fundraiser kick off that originally 1. was supposed to be a week later and 2. was not supposed to affect elective classes. It's tough, but I love it! Long hard exhausting day (and I only taught 1 class!). After school meeting, self-evaluation, learning experiences, hard stories from children...extremely good learning day. More later. PLUS I am starting a quotables log just for friends!

So my first day went well. I woke up at 6:20 and was out the door by 7:15. I didn't get to Southwest until 8:20 though! There was a train in down town orlando that came to dead stop and caused me to be late. My teacher was SUPER understanding...but I'm not going that way to work any more. Well tommorrow I start teaching at Southwest Middle School. I'm very very excited! :) It's tough b/c I don't have anyone here who really understands what I'm doing/going through.
