Molière...

We are studying "L'Avare", Molière, and I asked the kids, as an essay, to imagine a cover for the book... They are girls and boys, about 13/14 years old, and  some of them did quite creative things!

I love the pink pig.

It must be fun (sometimes) to be a partner to young folks creativity.

I admire teachers.

I have to agree - it was the Pink Pig that caught my eye as well.

How I suffered Moliere. We did an updted version of Misanthrope that was really awful - I was running lights and had a dozen light cues - for a two hour show... most of those were house lights. One show we started with seventeen people in a 4oo seat auditorium and at intermission half of them left... it was the last time we did any Moliere for a very long time. The Doctor In Spite of Himself, however, was brilliant.

Misanthrope, I can't, really, I can't! It's a difficult story. My favorite is Dom Juan, and amazingly because of an extraordinary movie, with Mozart's Requiem... Here is a trailer:

It's always interesting, mostly pleasant (in my school...), and sometimes fun... The pink pig is great, but I like the last one, with the chocolate/gold coins because, amazingly, the boy who made it isn't a school lover. he really worked hard on it!

What a talented group of kids you have! I am really impressed! Thanks for showing it. I know that feeling of when you students have done something great and you want to let everyone know about it!

Thank you! You know, some of them have difficulties and they really took the opportunity to do well.
